I'm happy they fixed it for us PS5 Pro owners and a patch is coming to hopefully fix other titles, but I guess I'm not following you here. A better timeline would no doubt be a much better PSSR out-the-gate that didn't leave some games looking like ass (e.g., every UE5 game I think...).
I hope the upgrade doesn't require each developer to update their game or else some are going to be stuck looking like shit on PS5 Pro forever. They need to have it setup so that they can update PSSR and games just look better without the devs needing to do anything because studios are notoriously lazy about this stuff, especially Japanese devs.

I really enjoyed Odyssey and all of the "1000 moons" but I really don't have it in me to play through it again.
XBox is and has been on hospice care for awhile. It is hard to watch.

These subscription services are filled with $20 games that go on sale for $10 often.
I don't know if I'll buy another console. Consoles use to be a great price for performance in a convenient to use package. Might be PC only from here on out. Since connecting my gaming PC directly to my HDTV, I'm only ever buying PS5 games if they are exclusives. The gap between today's mid-range graphics cards (e.g., rtx 5070) w/ whatever modern CPU and the PS5 is already massive.

Was there any new content in that trailer? I didn't see anything new... maybe a few new costumes. I was hoping for at least a tag team mode.

Its pretty good but I find it a lot harder because it seems like parrying is required sometimes and I suck at it. Souls-like games always do that (making parry required) but no FromSoft souls game would ever require parrying a move (that I can think of anyway).
I hadn't played my Series X in over a year. It is now packed away in the closet. I'll maybe take it out when I get an itch to play Gears 2 and 3 again or one of the earlier DOA games. Game Pass isn't a good value for someone like me. I play one or two games for multiple months and I often will go months without playing anything.
I really really really hope they offer updated controls for MP2 like PrimeHack has.
I've already boxed up my Series X and put it in the closet with my other old consoles. I'll hold onto it incase I get an itch to play DOA Ultimate or something unique like that but otherwise I'm just planning to buy games for PS and PC going forward. Microsoft killed XBox as far as I'm concerned.
I've carried the physical torch as far I can take it. I prefer physical and will still buy if there is a good deal, but I have my doubts that PS6 will even have an optical drive as an option. Nintendo will take longer...but the writing is on the wall, I'm afraid.

That is the only possible way for MS to bring this to market at a price that makes any sense. They have to mass produce an SOC that targets upper-mid-tier PC graphics (e.g., a system build around a rtx 5070 or 5070 Ti today).
This logic is flawed. It assumes Xbox is the only gaming option. What if I choose video games over movies or TikTok but go with a Steam or PS5 game?
