I find harder games more fun than easier games. Probably why I prefer Mega Man 9 over any others in the series. Yet I don't like Megaman X6 at ALL. Perhaps because of all of the unfair 1-hit kills.

I think the PS3 has a fairly strong offering. MGS4, Little Big Planet, Valkyria Chronicles, Resistance 2.
The Wii isn't half-bad either, with Brawl, No More Heroes, Boom Blox, Wario Land Shake It, and Mario Kart...

I completely agree. I imagine if Nintendo said "Hey, this SPOGS game kinda sucks and you either have to make it better or it's getting canned" the media would be all over it. I don't think they CAN take any approach without receiving a huge backlash.
I think Nintendo DOES need to make enforce stricter quality rules. It's a wonder that SPOGS Racing could make it to Wii ware.
And in a wonderful world, they wouldn't let Ubisoft develop games for their console.

I think it's a mix of it not being advertised and the problem of today's gamers. Today's "hardcore" gamers won't take a glance at anything that doesn't have guns, blood, boobs, or football. And the casual gamers would find this game too hard and be put off by its art style.
Okami is easily one of my most FAVORITE games ever, definitely in my top 5 (all of which are tied for first place). It's an absolutely amazing, fun, beautiful game that you have to play to understand...
