No, he's right. How many new, original games in the past year have had a ton of hype surrounding them, and then didn't sell that many games?
And how many games this year were sequels/spin-offs? It's more financially sound to continue in a game series people recognize than to create a new IP.
Wii seems to be the home of new IPs, though. Look at their 2009 line-up: http://www.neogaf.com/foru...
Barf. This is exactly what ruined Mega Man in the first place. I hate graphic whores.
Mega Man 10 and 11 in the classic retro style sound pretty cool. I like that.
But no sequel to Okami? ;_;
Sell the IP to Platinum Games, then.
Well release it in facking North America and I'll buy it, then!
I was wondering the same thing, but then looked at the screens. It's coming out in Japan soon. These are the japanese screenshots.
The Conduit is basically a cookie-cutter FPS. It basically looks like every other FPS out there. Its only redeeming quality is the Wii control scheme, and good graphics on the Wii system, and the developers know that. There's nothing wrong with that, because it does look like a good game, but if you think it looks leagues better than Muramasa or Kizuna, you have no taste.
I don't know why people are so hooked up on graphics, anyways. It really shows the immaturity of today's gamers. I'd rather play Super Mario Bros 3 or Ocarina of Time than Halo 3 any day. I'd rather play Super Mario Bros 3 than New Super Mario Bros. It's the gameplay that counts.
It's a sad thing when people say they'd prefer playing a game with very good visuals and okay controls than a game with okay visuals and very good controls.
I call anyone to put a few hours ...
I agree. This just seems like a bad, stupid rumor site that some random gamer made.
Nope, it's Muramasa: The Demon Blade

If we're comparing exclusives, I mow your list down to:
Killzone 2
Wow.
The link in the first post also left out some of the BEST looking Wii exclusives of 2009.
So, besides
Punch-Out!!
The Conduit
Mad World
Tenchu 4
Wii Sports Resort
House of the Dead: Overkill
Red Steel 2
we have...
Little King's Story
Muramasa: Demon Blade
Boom Blox 2 (unconfirmed for 2...
Yeah, I'd be jealous too if some interesting new IPs were coming to a system I didn't own.
I don't have a 360 or PS3, but if I did, I can say I'd look forward to Resident Evil 4 and 1/2, though.
The fact that you're looking forward to Dead Rising Wii means that you have a terrible taste in games and your opinion isn't worth much.
And of course, Muramasa and Little King's Story get left out. Why? i dunno lol
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, LittleBigPlanet, Gears of War 2, Rock Band 2, Fallout 3, Fable 2, Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, and GTA IV.
Out of this list, I've played GoW2, Rock Band 2, CoD:WaW, and GTA4.
GoW2 wasn't anything special, in my opinion. Rock Band 2 was essentially the same as the first. CoD:WaW didn't do anything special either (but I didn't play much of it), and GTA4 was really stupid (driving felt like I was riding...
Well, if the controls were better, it'd be the best CONSOLE version. But as this is not the case, it's really not worth the buy.
I rented it and I didn't enjoy the controls, so I don't plan on buying it. So that's at least -1 sale.
Casual game developer to develop games on a casual system? Wow!
I rented CoD:WaW. I know why not many people bought it. The controls really weren't that great.
I'm thinking that a guy that threatened to kill himself over an exclusive console game being developed for more than just that one console isn't very deserving of a life, anyways.
"Waah, I'm so angry I'm gonna kill myself because more people can join my exclusive club and enjoy this game."
It's sad, because, for the most part, it's the uninspired crap shovelware that's getting bought. How much money do you think Ubisoft is making off of Imagine: Ballerina or whatever the hell they make?
