Bob and Sue is in the absolute minority when it comes to gamers because they can afford an 1080p TV. Also the Xbox360 can deliver 1080p over component cable. Also, I have read a lot of articles stating that the difference between component and HDMI is BARELY visible on a 50" TV when looking closely at the screen.

quickly answer this, what is the PS3's games attach rate VS the Xbox360 games attach rate? I guess that explains what the people are actauly using the PS3 for, watching movies!
It will be great if they have EXACT parameters that define AAA. Like if a game cost X amount to make and sold Y amount of units. That will bury any doubt.
The PS3 isn't doing so good over there either, much better than the Xbox360 but still, not so good. The only company thats realy got the Japanese nailed is Nintendo with the Wii and DS lite. Very affordable and inovative hardware that is compact and reliable.
It looks like the PS3 is truggling in its homeland -> only 1 game in top 10. strange indeed.
I reckon it's western people living there who bought Halo 3 in Japan.
The PS3 being a blu-ray player is one of its highly praised features. Thats the reason A LOT of people have bought the PS3 because if you look at the games attach rate, its rather low. If Blu-Ray fails, the biggest feature of the PS3 will be rendered useless because no movies will come out on a dead format.

The only people truly worried about the HD-DVD vs blu-Ray war are PS3 owners. If I owned a PS3, I would also be on here claiming HD-DVD is dead and spewing all sorts of hate. Choosing an Xbox360 means you don't have to buy into this none-sense format war. If blu-ray does win, I'll just get a Blu-ray player, if HD-DVD wins, PS3 owners are

Well, I would consider outselling the PS3 world-wide as "something right", don't you? Regardless of which console you like, the Xbox360, sales wise, is not doing to bad and you got to give props where it is deserved.

don't see bioshock on a PSP or a DS. Maybe a Wii. The controls are definitely to complex to put it on a PSP. PSP only has 6 buttons (4 face + 2 shoulder) while the Xbox360 have 8 (4 shoulder + 4 face). Also will the atmosphere be the same on a hand held?
The Wii isn't realy in the same war as PS3 and Xbox. Wii = casual market, PS3 and Xbox360 = hardcore gamer market.
And it doesn't matter which console sell well where, it's the world-wide figures that count.
I recently bought a Xbox360 as my first console and I'm almost converted.
