In my oppinion, the PS3 and Wii isn't sharing the same target market so they are not competing with each other.The Wii is for casual gamer while the PS3 & Xbox360 are for the more harcore gamer. The casual gamer isn't going to buy a PS3 or XBOX360 while the hardcore gamer will rather not buy a Wii. The real fight is between the PS3 and Xbox360. Just my 2 cents, use it, don't use it...

If you were smart you'd wait for MGS4 to be released before making such comments. How many times have people said games will be great but when it's released, it falls well short of expectations. I'm not saying MGS4 will suck, I'm saying that people should wait before saying stuff like this. A lot of comments like this are drifting around on this site and I think it doesn't add anything constructive to discussions.
Does it cost nearly as much as your rent does??? Then it's cheap in my oppion. I live in South Africa and here it costs 3 times as much as one months rent. Even an Xbox360 costs more than one months rent. You guys have it easy man!

No console war?!?!?!?! since when is console gaming about watching movies? I know sony did good last gen by enabling PS2 to play DVD's but what made it great was the gaming titles available for it. It's about gaming and nothing else. There IS a console war going and Microsoft is giving Sony a run for their money. This gen is going to be a lot closer than last gen.

These games are the most viewed games at IGN, so this list = most anticipated titles, XBox360 is at the top cause there are a lot more Xbox360 players out there at the moment than any other next-gen console and thats why Xbox360 games is at the top
What companies say can have a big effect on the consumers, even if what they say are un-true. If Microsoft comes out tomorrow and say that the XBox360 have twice the power of the PS3 some people will believe it (except us ofcourse) and go buy a XBOx360. I think companies do this on purpose, it's like a phsycological warfare or something. And that is whats wrong with the world people.
I also heard that Vista have a little less game performance that XP, there is a framerate drop when playing games in Vista, I personally haven't seen this but if it's true, I'm going to stay away until I have a more powerfull rig.
I think the bad reputation of sony is spreading, a lot more people are finding out that the PS3 has the same performance as the XBox while the Xbox is much cheaper. Based on that logic, what decision would the average gamer make. Except if you want a blu-ray player
No one was forced to buy anything, they bought an Xbox360 cause it offeres a great gaming experience and the chose it above the PS (not that PS3 doesn't have a great gaming experience but they still chose the Xbox360)
