The impact will be far greater on the PS3 if blu-ray failed since playing blu-ray movies on the PS3 is a highly regarded feature. Without blu-ray playback, the PS3 is much less attractive to buyers.

Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft are working on their next console, you would be stupid if you where not.
Strange, if the Xbox360 have been going on a sub-par pace, the PS3 is on a sub-par pace as well since if you align the launches, the sales are near identical. The difference is that MS makes a profit with each console sold while the PS3 makes a loss on each. Not to mention the software sales.

If I was a publisher and my company's success purely rests on how well our game will sell, then it is common sense to release it on the Xbox360. If you look at the software sales, Xbox360 is far ahead of the pack. An added bonus will be that it can also be easily ported to the PC.
If you make a game only for the PS3, -> not so good sales -> costs a lot to port since the difference in architecture.

Actualy, the PS3 version suffers from long loading times AND frame rate issues. While the xbox 360 does NOT looked washed out. I bought the game and finished it. You PS3 fanboys are seriously in denial. Just accept that the PS3 got another crappy port from EA and move on. It doesn't mean that the PS3 is bad, it's just a crappy port.
