Rockstar didn't make the game solely, they are the publisher though.
Rockstar have done plenty of games that are not GTA, just everyone seems to forget about them.

What a load of garbage, "video game conference" nice and generic and those people have been told to put on nerdy voices, I have never even heard anyone that sounds like that.
The fact that most of them also sound like they have mental problems, asbergers etc it is not even remotely funny to poke fun at them if they are not just acting the nerd.

We all know it is going to take time but even sony won't say how long. It is frustrating sitting waiting with all my recent purchases completed offline.
I bought SOCOM to play online, I wanted Brink to play online too. I can't play either online.
It is frustrating and if my PS3 was not a Blu Ray player I would not have thought twice about swapping back to a 360 and playing my online games there. However I have a large Blu Ray collection so that keeps me grounded with Sony since I dont have the money or space for a seperate player.
Too many times i have told them to go behind cover, and they go around the front of the cover and then behind it. Most of the time when they do this they get shot and die. As soon as they go infront of the cover it triggers the enemy advancing and you are unprepared and will probably die.
The fact that on elite enemies take 3 or 4 headshots to die is a joke, a headshot is a headshot, you should die no matter what difficulty.

The game is OK but you only need to google the word SOCOM and realise this game was not made for the fans. This game was made for Sony.
I am only 2 trophies away from the platinum on this game and I have never once even bothered to try and get a platinum trophy on any game.
None of it is really hard or massively time consuming, every trophy is easy. The only annoying one is completing the game on Elite because its more frustrating rather than actually difficult when your AI team go running into fire when you tell them to take cover.
The only thing that has really bothered me was that it was right at the release of SOCOM my favourite online game. Also that the outage has spanned two weeks that I have only been at work 3 days so it has been a shame it happened when I had lots of lovely time off!

On the Blog they actually said "some services will be resumed a week from yesterday". They don't say what those services are so that could mean PSN and online gaming could be out of action far longer.
I have worked all week and it is now the weekend which is my gaming time.

People access paid services via PSN like MLB.tv Lovefilm MUBI and DC Universe Online, for these all to be down is very frustrating as a PAYING CUSTOMER!

It would really need to properly and consistenly recognize hand gestures to do it properly.
RTS are best with some sort of pointing device, a mouse is best then PS Move works too, but without a controller it would be very difficult.

The game deserves mediocre scores, but not awful 3/10 scores by journalists who have no idea what the game even is. The guy called it an FPS, if this is an FPS then I am a game journalist, but that wouldnt surprise me since it seems like anyone can call themselves one nowadays.
They also said this about the move:

Isn't the point of move and others be enhance immersion? What else is the point, they didnt make move to put DualShock3 in the bin.

Never had this problem in the beta, this reviewer has read the destructoid review and pretty much copied it.
Every metro article is like its written by the clueless guy sitting next to me on the bus.
Europe has to wait on SCEE anouncing it, so we will probably not find out until we open the box on thursday going by how much SCEE hate SOCOM.
Sad stuff, SOCOM is an abomination in its current form though.
It doesnt cater to the old school fans and all the things it has tried to copy from todays popular shooters it has pretty much butchered!
It is now stuck in a middle ground where old school fans dont like it because it is missing features that created the community like lobbies and decent voice comms. And the new games don't like it because it does nothing that Call Of Duty does not do already...
