That game was NOT terrible, it wasn't great but it was decent.

Should I just start a website and start predicting what will happen to certain games and some company will come along and pay me for my time?
It was only a 1 year contract and once the sheer volume of work was gone so was the job, only about 3 people got kept on.
The job was great but the hours were a total killer, working 9-9 6 days a week and sleeping all day sunday was just rubbish.
After that I had job offers from mobile game devs on obscure places to test shitty games which really didnt appeal, at least at rockstar it was a good game.

Ive posted this before but I worked at Rockstar in 2005 and for a good 3 months i never saw my friends and the only time i was at home was to sleep, wash and change my clothes.
They took care of you, the massive amounts of overtime meant you came out the other end with a fair whack of money, and food and drink is always supplied for free.
Still working so much takes its toll, we once done a full month without a day off and most of those days were 12-16 hours....
Why would they not fix things? The game is not out for about 5 more months, finding and fixing things is the whole point of the beta. If the Beta was in october i would be more skeptical but its only JULY!
They never done that last time, i dont see why they would now. The other ones were like "play a game" online or in co op.
I would much rather have some decent online trophies than single player fluff trophies though that are not difficult just stupidly time consuming.
There were a few people there who were there just because they had been there since the beginning. My manager was widely hated by everyone but pretty much unsackable!
I've worked at Rockstar for a year in the PS2 days, the 6 months leading up to release are constant work, 6 or 7 days a week with 12-16 hour days.
However, I assumed most developers were like this. The money you have saved at the end of those 6 months is brilliant since when you work you have no time for anything else!

Constantly slating the graphics of a game that came out in 2004 seems a bit harsh. I know it has had a revamp in certain areas but still the game is over 7 years old now.
Also the undead starting zone is probably the most dull and boring of them all.
Maybe they want everyone to be playing as Doughnut Drake!
As usual, there was no need to see gameplay footage or anything. As soon as the games reviews are under embargo until AFTER release, you generally know that the game is a total flop.

This game is hilarious, its almost the future that the game is set in, it has been that long. It looked impressive 2 years ago, now, not so much.
What about just using a nice normal controller? I dont want to use a tablet and i dont want to wave my hands about when i play, i want to sit down and relax with a normal controller. They would be insane not to offer a normal one since they will have having games like BF3 and Batman unless the conly control options will be play on massive tablet or motion controls.

I remember seeing the left4dead Oz version with its no blood, no limb removal and all the zombies that have been killed despawning after a few seconds. They would have been aswell not releasing the game at all!
WOW the photos in that news report are terrible, they look like they were taken with a 5 year old mobile phone.
It's not the same on PC, I have played both Betas and the PC is on another level, the core gameplay is the same but everything works better on the PC and the 32v32 battles are very impressive.
