Much like SOCOM: Confrontation this game will be available for £5 within a year.
Slant Six did butcher SOCOM, 25 minutes for a game to load at release and a whole host of other bugs.
Zipper put the final nail in the coffin with SOCOM4: Clone of Duty
Asda is owned by walmart already.
April 2013, anyone that thought it'd be out this year is going to be disappointed.
I felt more emotion playing through Journey last week than I have felt watching any movie in the last few years.
Define "GREAT".
If they done a 32" that would be perfect in my small living room, but 24" is just far too small unless you have it on a desk or something right infront of you.
really hope the soundtrack is also a mix of the first 2 games.
Final Fantasy XIV is supposed to be an MMO, this game is far from being that. It does look interesting though.
MMO in the loosest terms, look at Battlestar galactica online, bigpoint make shitty browser games with microtransactions just like all those facebook time and money sinks.
Depressing stuff, this could make a great MMO as could BattleStar Galactica but its not. Bigpoint make terrible browser games that are designed to milk money from the user, I have no doubt this game will be just as shitty.
I agree it looks promising, probably because it's not doing a "kinect OR controller" scenario, it realises both are useful and uses both.
Stupid remark, plenty great games that don't follow the COD formula in the last year. Clearly he is one of those industry guys that makes games but no longer plays them.
We still don't have the network infrastructure for things like OnLive to actually succeed. Maybe in Sweden where everyone has great internet connections but UK and USA everything is way too flaky for a good quality streaming service. Some games WORK but they don't work well, there is input lag and it basically renders multiplayer completely pointlesss.
Can you imagine streaming the game to your PS3, and playing Counter Strike against a guy running it on his PC? You wo...
I don't really care for either of them, I ignore achievements on WoW, Steam and other MMO's. If I get them then great, if they offer some sort of in game reward I will think about going for them.
I have 0 platinum trophies, I have 2 games that I am a single trophy away from getting the platinum, but to get it involves some boring ridiculous mundane task, so I didn't bother doing it, it wouldn't be fun. I don't see the point grinding for hours to get a virt...
Changes for the sake of changes for the sake of changes.
Refining the game for years on end.
I hope I live to see release.
This is probably one of the worst game reviews I have ever read, and it's on the Guardian, what a let down.
What is also surprising is the great use of the english language in that summary.
Glad I waited a week to get the game cheaper and I did want to purchase ELITE just for the cheaper map packs, but with the current problems I will hold off. I can't even access the app on my PS3 as at every time of the day its always too busy and telling me to come back later.
I agree, but they released it a year early, it was 9 months - 1 year after release before I could play Confrontation without it crashing my PS3 every half hour or the audio completely dropping from the game.
