I just don't see MS, a company who has been in federal court over its "competitive" business practices , being completely taken off guard by their main competitor. I just don't see where these games incur so much cost in develpment. I mean James Cameron's Avatar cost 300 million to make, that's shooting on location around the world, paying actors a large chunk, logistics, all the cg special effects, editing ect. You are exactly right. This is why we never want to see "one console to rule them all". Competition drives innovation. Companies trying to 1up each other, battling for consumer dollars, benefits the gamer and the industry. This "borrowing" is just companies taking whats been done and innovating it to play better, run better, or finding new ways to use it. This is essential for a healthy game industry.

These are all pretty good points, especially fire fight mode. It was sorely missed in Halo 4. I also never understood why the multiplayer always had to be spartan vs spartan. I would like to see huge battles like in Battlefield with Spartans vs Covenant vs Forerunners. With 72 players (3 24 person teams) able to choose their race and battle it out with custom soldiers, weapons, and vehicles. You could still have the infinity battles as fan service, but it would be nice to see 343 up the ant...
