Problem was there was nothing else coming out. The wii and 360 lost their new car smell, so people went out and bought the PS3. The Wii U already lost that new car smell and the PS4 and 720 haven't released. 9/10 aren't going into a Best Buy armed with cash and picking the Wii U over the 720/PS4, and nothing so far is coming out before that to change one's min. Not that I think the Wii U will bankrupt Nintendo, hardly...but I can easily see the Wii U selling Gamecube like numbers...
Plenty of speculation, but nothing concrete. They're doing a great job of keeping the facts hidden. My guess the speculation is correct and we'll get a slightly less powerful console than the PS4, somewhat a re-dux of this generation, but we shall see. @Ghost..I'm not a fan of the top down view of the older GTA's. So no, I haven't played them. And honestly, the PS1 and older PC GTA top down games aren't even comparable to GTA3 to present. They easily could've renamed GTA 3 a whole different franchise change a character name or 2 and no one would've known.

@itachi using the PS3 and 3DS to compare is faulty. The PS3 was the last of the current gen consoles to launch, and no one had anything else to look forward too console launch wise. They played their Wii and their 360's for a year or two and bought a PS3. That's exactly what I did, and most people I know. And you can actually chart that with N4G. Back when N4G was dominated by 360 posters, now it's PS3. The Wii U is the first and no one cares, and with the 720 and PS4 months away...
I agree. I'd be down for having to travel across the world to have missions. Middle east could be poppy field/drug/ oil related. Russia could be mob/ boot legging alcohol. I'm pretty sure you guys have finally gone nuts. Memory doesn't mean jack if the CPU/GPU can't handle the info anyway, and though I'm sure the PS4 graphics will look great compared to current console games, no amount of wishful thinking or strongly worded responses is gonna change the fact the PS4 CPU was designed for low end netbooks, lap tops, and tablets, not high end PC gaming.
I'm excited to see what the big 3 have to show. We all know why about MS and Sony, and if Nintendo doesn't come up with some compelling software to show, that's releasing this year, Wii U is done. The Vita is actually outselling it.
@angel...you are 100% correct. There are a good amount of people on here that will blindly follow Sony everywhere, and crap on anything MS does. It does go both ways, but on here..currently, it's not even close with the bias towar...

I don't think they're getting the casuals back, IMO no core console maker is. They've moved on to tablet and smart phone games. At best the casuals may come in after a few years and a price drop, by than it would be too late for the Wii U
@Sandmano, completely agree, and I'll add if your ISP has data caps, digital can become a problem real quick. If you do anything else, game online, netflix, stream music etc....well you can blow those caps pretty quick. And games are only getting bigger. If people like digital more power to them, but for me, just allow me to install the game onto my hard drive and I'll enjoy the benefits of both worlds.

@ r21, maybe they did sell around the same amount of years, but they were two very very different times for gamers in terms of popularity, and the economy. Though both incredibly impressive.
Don't take this the wrong way but how old are you and your friends? I seriously don't know anyone with a wii u and people who have a wii probably couldn't find it under the dust to save their lives. At least the people I know
