This a decent first gaming machine until you learn exactly what you are doing. I will eat my hat before I buy an Apple gaming console, period. Their hardware is horribly unreliable (you think the 360 was bad) and they'd bring a "new generation" every year or 2. Let Nintendo stick to the casuals, they have it down pat, though the Ipad and Iphone are ok quick gaming solutions, it's not like they develop these games, so please, stay out.
agreed with Bender, where's the uproar on mercenaries 2? that game had A+++ potential and that went right out the window. Lets just get a complete re-make of Vice City for PS3/360 so I can forget about Saints Row or Street of whatever of GTA 4 til the next generation
@ death..oh the original PS, most people here probably aren't old enough to remember, but remember after 2 or so years you'd have to flip the PS upside down and play it that way because of the laser??? Streaming can be achieved @1.5, but it won't be HD, and also, who knows if streaming is the future, if ISP's decide like some already have, that unlimited isn't the way to go. Comcast has a 250 gig limit, and I think turner does too. Tiers internet is the future in my opinion and that could grossly put a damper on streaming, and definately will on HD streaming.

I will buy, looking forward to playing through the single player mode. I'm not going to sit here and bash the hell outta the series and turn around and buy it, because i'm convinced that's what you guys are doing, at least 8/10 are full of crap and scared to get a bubble taken if they say they enjoy it. I certainly wouldn't say they're scared, but quality control is certainly an issue and ignoring the problem will eventually lead to their down fall. It happened with Mortal Kombat, it happened with Nintendo, and compared to the PS2 it could be the beginning of it happening with the PS3. It was happening to Madden vs the 2k series til EA bought out the exclusivity. If a product becomes riddled with bugs or just plain stale, it will eventually fail, always has, always will.

Thanks Inside_out..I unfortunately decided to write this article around 2am while throwing more than a few back, so it is mistake ridden and not very "professional", but every single word is true, and my intent was to warn future gamers that used may seem like the better deal, but buying new is the only way to make sure you are getting exactly what you paid for. Even if you have a defective new system, it's a lot easier to get that replaced with another new system, not a another...
