I did it once, and it wasn't worth it, no questions. Of course that is solely because the launch line up was eh', and the first year was turrible in terms of software. If the software is up to snuff, and there is no 1 year shortage I'd have no problem doing it again however. The moment pre orders are avaliable, put the $50 down and pay $50 everytime I get paid and by the time it launches, I have a new system with 4 or 5 games, and no uh oh, where the hell did that $800 go problem....
I have owned the PS1, PS2, a PSP, and PS3's, I walked into gamestop this weekend armed with cash for a Vita and games, problem was, what games? Every game I'd wanna play on the Vita I can play on a PS3, I walked out without any less cash. I drove to best buy and actually choose a wii u over the vita. The problem for me is this..I'm 29, married with kids. I don't exactly have all the time in the world to play a portable system. So if I'm dropping $400-$500 on a system, it b...

Your opinion is just that, an opinion. The Wii U is a next gen console. That's a fact by definition, but it's been months since people knew the Wii U CPU was just an upgraded Gamecube CPU, and it only has 1 gig of usable Ram for games, regardless of what the GPU may or may not be. @ sp1, I gamed on a 47in 1080p lcd that ran at 60htz. I kept a 20 wide screen computer monitor just because of that very reason. Recently switched to a 60' plasma, night and day. Needless to say that 20 inch monitor is now in my 10 yr olds bed room hooked up to his blu ray player.

They didn't have a lot of input, but hey convinced MS to bump the ram from 256 to 512. Can you imagine how gimped these games would be with 256 to work with?
The 360 picture while streaming nexflix always looked like garbage compared the the ps3 and wii. I have no idea why as my 360 was wired and my ps3 and wii were on wifi. This is with 25mpbs on comcast, so that can't be the excuse. Since the wii is gone, I'm stream exclusively on my ps3

hell yes!!! Vice City's sound track is still the best. I really like the 1980's theme, but I was born in the early 80's, so I am biased. Still haven't played a GTA I didn't like, though 4 was the worst for me. Doesn't mean it was a bad game at all and was definately worth the full retail price. Wish I could say that about any other series.
@dmarc...because lets use the ps3 as example, it launched in 2006, at 3 million sales a year, it would be coming up on the big 20 million sold..not good. The sales have to pick up.
@ chris, I agree, I can't be the only one who could give a rats ass about what the box art looks like. Do people really show off their games as conversational pieces? Will this "ugly" box art effect the way the game plays? Am I really that outta touch?

There's no chance this is going to happen. Free to play is basically a scam. Unless its some type of basic flash tennis game, there is always money driven add ons. Also there's an article on cnn.com about this garbage, where they are so focused on the down slide of the market compared to last year, not that it couldn't be this generation has grown long in the tooth and we are now due for new one
