Whoever allowed their kid to have their credit card on their kids account is a moron. If this was an adult, even being drunk doesn't excuse this. This is compulsive behavior and they need help. Or they're incredibly well off.
I'm good with it the way it is. With the amount of free games they provide they're not all gonna be winners every month for every one. I haven't played a soccer game in years, I'm kind of excited to give PES a try
D.O.A. If Google honestly believes this, they have completely lost touch with reality. I guess they've never experienced being throttled.
Agree completely. The early 3d polygon system's/games haven't aged well at all. Ironically enough the NES/SuperNES sprite games for my money have held up better. GTA VC was fantastic, and one of the best games I could ever remember playing. I recently went back to try it out, it just didn't hold up at all. Super Mario 3 on the classic, was still great. I can see the appeal for some to have backward compatibility, but it's just not my cup of tea either.
I'm sure people will check it out, but I can't imagine this being any good or having any kind of staying power. Now where is the GTA television show at?
I'd say it sure is. Just because PS5 is rumored to be coming out in about 18 months doesn't mean you have to buy it day 1. Hell you may not be able to find it in stores for the first few months without some random luck. I wouldn't be surprised if some day 1 pre-orders went unfulfilled. I'll get one in the first 6 months for myself, but even that's 2 years from now. That's a lot of great games to miss out on. Also, if you got some kids that want to start gaming on somet...
Never bought a copy, never played the game, never will
Sega Channel did a version of streaming decades before Sony. Should be fun watching people turn to streaming games while ISPs turn to data overages and tier'd pricing to get more money out of you. Between Prime, Netflix, YouTube and now game streaming I can't wait for the day I end up spending more money streaming that latest 4k game than I would have buying a hard copy of it.
I like owning my games. It's a personal choice. And data caps are going to become an issue period. Cable companies that own the major back bone of the infrastructure (at least in the USA) are going to re-coup their losses from cord cutters one way or another. Welcome to at home tier'd internet prices. Everything is streaming and the consumer will be screwed for it. And no 5G is not going to help anything. When and if Sprint and T-mobile merge....well just go look at Canada's wire...
Best deal in gaming, plus you get it for 2 yrs and not 1. And the best part...no catch
@ Detox420
So you're admitting to a massive felony where in any other industry you'd be looking at 10yrs in prison. You're a tool. As far a worrying about myself, you stealing impacts my hobby. Devs won't take as many risks that could impact them financially. They won't create new IP's as they may not sell as well because of fools like you that think it's ok to rent games for free
@kid
People like physical for numerous reasons. I love collecting video game hardware and software, others do too. Internet bandwidth caps can be filled up within day downloadiing games. If you plan on keeping your current gen system at all in the future long term you're playing with fire. All it takes is a hard drive to burn up, and the game to not be available to down load off a server anymore for you to realize you just rented the game. Those are just a few very good ...
Well I am 32 with kids...as far as the way I write, if there are errors, it's due to replying on a cell phone. Didn't care enough to proof read. And if there was no point in replying to my comment than why did you? I can only assume it was an attempt to try to negate my initial counter argument with an asinine assertion that I write like a child therefore you're above conversatating with me, though you did anyway like a child trying to get the last word.
My point still st...
Parents are that stupid. You gotta remember the "parents" buying these things are the same people that gamed on a SNES and N64/PSX. They aren't uniformed anymore. Plus no kid is asking for an Apple TV for christmas. They want a PS4 or Xbox One. Hell my 12 yr old daughter wants a fire stick..not an Apple TV. As far as being able to play all your music with movies from apples app store, people can do that with an iPhone or iPad and a $40 apple cable, let alone cheaper 3rd party o...
Agree completely, and I'm glad. If any one company (Sony, MS, Nintendo) was left, our hobby very well could die. The sole survivor would be lazy, and unmotivated. When the Xbox one was announced, I swore it off, and when they 180'd their policy's I still wasn't biting...however, though all of these company's first priority is the bottom line, it's obvious Phil enjoy's his work, and is a fellow gamer. My son is turning 12 in May, and has asked for an Xbox One, and i...
@ XBL Skull
I hear ya completely, for me the Xbox one feels like a last generation console because the graphics it outputs is on the last gen level, but with an HDMI in port. I don't have room for all these consoles either, though I guess I could get an xbox one and unify my whole set up like you to make room....oh wait...that didn't afford you any extra room...guess I'll just have to deal with my phone being able to turn the channel, check my on screen guide and ...
@ Relientk77
I did the same thing. First time I ever played a Sega Saturn was in sears.
@ Enemy,
This is an opinion piece that is trying to portray that this generation...ALL platforms...won't have as many games as previous generation due to cost associated with development. It has literally nothing to do with XB1 games vs PS4 games...this year or any year. I understand you saw a chance to jump on xbox one for a chance at a few cheap bubbles..but it's comments like that, that do nothing but divide our community. Either that, or you haven't developed any readi...
Last in most generations??? Am I missing something here? NES destroyed the master system. SNES beat the Genesis. The N64 beat the Saturn. The Gamecube beat the Dreamcast. The Wii beat everyone. The Wii U was in last place and by all accounts the Switch will pass the One. They were last in 1 generation. They weren't in 1st place in some generations, but last in every generation is just a trash comment that's grossly misinformed. But I'm sure you'll move the goal posts somehow. ...
