Wut? The PS3 was a failure compared to the PS1 and PS2.
From how the PS4 is looking, I think it's going to outsell the PS3 by far.
Sadly because they chose to use cheap tablet based hardware, this machine is already outdated by far now, when it actually gets released it will probably be even worse.
If there will be a version of this that will work on my Super Famicom, I'm interested.
I highly doubt that, with the new consoles using PC-based hardware, it's likely that the PC will be the lead platform for everything as it would be easier on developers.
Yeah but mobile phones suck ass for gaming.
I honestly would rather not touch them for gaming. I use the actual consoles + games for my retro gaming usually unless its a super rare game that's expensive.
With what, Halo? lol
Vaporware.
No.
The term "Hipster games" won't stick. It's just a dumb name that appeared in one article.
I quite like low budget games, though the ones that specifically have 8-bit style 2D graphics annoy me as they look cheap, but things like Journey i don't see how they are "hipster" in any way.
It'd be dumb to release GT6 on such an old system, it would hardly be an improvement over GT5. Plus we'd end up with install and patch hell again.
Bring out a new Jersey Devil or Legend of Dragoon damn it.
Here we go again...
They could just try announcing some really good games. Who needs Kinect or all this social rubbish.
Looks like they're finally coming up with an alternative to PhysX.
This is good, I think the AMD GPUs have suffered from a lack of features for awhile although they are powerful.
Since I went Nvidia I noticed I have better features such are more Anti Aliasing methods and PhysX, it's good that AMD is doing this too.
(I'm no Nvidia fanboy, I just buy whatever is better for me at the time, last time I had a Radeon HD 4870).
Well, what I said is mostly based on how things are right now.
In the future it will probably become a lot better to use and more capable. I think I would still rather own the machine that's actually running the game still though.
It is impressive, but I don't really think it's for me right now.
I personally want nothing to do with cloud gaming, I'd rather have the actual game with me, if that means a copy on a disc or a hard drive it doesn't matter, but being at the mercy of varying Internet speeds at any time, and crappy video + audio compression as well as input lag does not really appeal to me.
I don't really think there's an issue. I still have my retro consoles around and there is an active scene who still develop retro style indie games.
I do prefer the old style of gaming but it's not like you can't get the same experience today still. I hardly use my PS3/360 at all actually, for modern games I generally use my PC. The TV is usually occupied by my Master System, Super Famicom and Mega Drive/Genesis.
Lol, Apple...
I'd rather go back to using my Sega Master System rather than use their junk.
If people want 4k they should get a high end PC. Hardware at console prices just won't cut it.
It hasn't managed to squash the competition like the other PS consoles though has it? :P
The gaming market has also grown a lot since back then.
