Yeah I've got a fair few, off the top of my head I have in PS1s: a 2x 1002 (One does not work), 3002, 5552, 7502 and a PSOne with no LCD.
I didn't actually specifically set out to collect them, people just kept giving them to me and I kept finding them cheap in sales so I guess I may as well be a collector lol.
I don't know if that Dual Analog controller even came out here, since I'm in the UK. I don't have one, the 1002's and 3002 cam...
I actually still have one of the original model PS1s (SCPH1002) that works, but it does have a lot more trouble reading discs than my later ones.
The audio quality is actually slightly nicer on them I think, it isn't a massive improvement though.
It's surprising just how many revisions of the PS1 there were before they canned it.
I couldn't stop laughing when I saw that for the first time lol.
But yeah I don't see a problem with it, game companies have been trolling each-other since the dawn of the first game console generation.
@ -Foxtrot
It's happened before....
Even Sega and Nintendo were trolling each-other all the time back in the 16-bit days, I don't see what the problem it, it's funny.
That advert is badass.
It wouldn't be a smart idea, the Wii-U is technically weaker than the next gen consoles by far, and won't get as good 3rd party support.
Aside from first party games, the Wii-U pad is the only real advantage that it has over the PS4/One, removing it would remove all uniqueness from the console.
Yes, they are.
Is there actually a viable audience for dual screen gaming? I mean, I never see anybody saying "woo I Can't wait to be able to use my iPad/Kindle/Nexus/Whatever to be able to view a minimap of the game world!"
Just wondering why there's a push on this all of a sudden when it seems to be an unnecessary distraction rather than an enhancement.
Except for on the Wii-U anyway, since the screen is built into the controller.
I'm not a single bit interested in Ryse, QTE's seem like a completely stupid concept and it spoils a game for me.
I'm going to just play retro games if they are, I'm not going to waste hundreds of pounds on in-game items like these developers want me to.
I'm just sticking to my PC. I'll buy whichever console is better when there are games I like the look of which aren't actually on PC coming out for them.
Having no games kind of defeats the point of having a game console...
The GUI presentation in the Xbox One console reveal was fake, it was not running on a real Xbox One.
What, you think It'll load instantly after you say that? Yeah, right...
How is that "next gen"? DirectX 11 has been around for years.
It's a shame that the PC sucked so hard compared to the Amiga even if PC could have technically more powerful hardware back in the day, it was only about 1994 or so when it became better really...
I tried out a lot of DOS versions of games that I used to play and usually either the sound is horrible, or the graphics are in CGA mode which just looks ugly, or both...
Still fun to play though.
No, they just did what they had to do to prevent the product from completely bombing.
@starchild
I agree, I have a decent PC (Not highest end though) i5 2500k OC, GTX680, 12GB RAM
I don't mind paying a little hardware premium to get a more powerful system with better graphics and smoother running games, the argument we use for buying a PC instead of a console is the exact same as their reasoning for getting a PS4 over the Wii-U, in our eyes, it's better.
Besides the "consoles are cheaper" is overrated anyway,...
My PSOne will probably be one of the later ones as I got it about a week or two before getting a PS2, I didn't know there were different variations of PSOne too.
Yeah I like collecting too, I have quite a few Mega Drive/Genssis consoles, that console has lots of different revisions too. The PS1 and Mega Drive/Genesis are the only consoles where I own lots of them though, I have all of the main stream consoles that are out but I only have one of each one. I also like buyin...
