I don't think much of the design if that's a pic of it next to the article. Still, I'll pick it up if the games are good.

'To 100% completion' ...is that a euphemism? Because I remember the first time I played GTA3 and I probably did that within five minutes.

I'm not trying to turn this into my personal consumer advice column (well I am but I'm trying to be subtle about it) but I'm not sure if I should pick up this or Okami HD.

On one hand I love anything with originality and charm up the wazoo just as Okami looks to have and I am also your typical white Western nerd Japanophile but on the other hand I've been playing a TON of HD remakes recently, just having come from the Silent hill collection and I've kinda bee...

I have to agree to an extent. I loved the way the different characters stories intertwined in GTA4 and its add on campaigns and I wouldn't really mind something like that but the fact that they go on missions together and the optional character switching mid-mission is worrying to say the least. It sounds like they're turning it into a squad shooter. I just can't imagine getting really behind any character when I can just jump out of him into another at any point.

So is this for real? The spelling mistakes make me dubious but there's some great info in here if it's real. Still I kinda wished Tommy Vercetti or CJ would be making a return as playable characters though, I know they we from more cartoony entries but that doesn't mean they couldn't flesh them out into more real world feelings characters. That's exactly what they did for Max Payne.

I have to admit I'm just about done with my first ever playthrough of Silent hill 2 and loving it but I was thinking while playing last night how strange it is that most of the game is just walking around dark buildings and the few enemies you encounter can usually just be ran past or easily killed. I was thinking about how if this were a modern game some giant skeleton demon would have jumped on me from a closet initiating a QuickTime event fight set to crazy loud Psycho violin music abo...

For me it was the IGN review of the first Assassin's creed game, which labelled it something like 'the first major disappointment of this gaming generation' if I remember correctly. I have to admit I got a little butthurt over that one because I was looking forward to it so much and wanted to believe then finally I played the game and discovered that the review was completely correct.

I still really want to try this out but I'm still afraid that it'll be a regular bro shooter with a few pseudo-deep cutscenes here and there and I'm too afraid of spoilers to look more into it.

I remember when I thought I could just about wait a few more months for this as long as I had the Ico collection.to tide me over. I'm only managing to avoid biting my fingers off at this point by using self hypnosis to forget that it even exists.

People are getting a little ridiculous here. Even if this game was an improvement over Modnation racers it would still be a surprisingly uncreative use of the Littlebigplanet franchise, which has been perhaps the most creative franchise this generation up to now. The sad fact is that this game has dialled many things back from Modnation racers, all of which are thoroughly explained in this review, from the major downgrade in customisation to the major dumbing down of the tactical aspects of r...

I just hope it's easy to control with just your left hand.

I love it but I prefer Ico. I think it would be better if you didn't keep getting returned to the castle after killing each Colossi. Killing the beast then collapsing then having the same cutscenes play then leaving the starting area again just got a bit samey. I think it would've been better if you stayed out in the wilderness and received your next task in a vision or through an unseen voice. That way there would be a feeling of constant progression like you had as you worked your w...

I strongly suspect that the Desmond aspect was not intended to be part of the story originally but got added after one of the money men had a nightmare about a fifteen year old boy with an emo haircut playing it and saying, 'Eeeeeew, these guys are old. Where are the skinny jeans and mobile phones? This is like history class or something'.

Woaaaah, edgy guy. Better watch out for this one folks, he's a wildman. Sort of like a young Brando, only lonelier and more desperate to look like a badass to strangers over the Internet.

"One of the game’s biggest surprises is that there’s even a character who could be construed as an Uncle Tom"

Ruckus???

I haven't played this or AC3 but I really do prefer this character to the protagonist of 3. Partly because I like the idea of a game tackling something as heavy and important as American slavery in any way, partly because she has a better and less ridiculous outfit than the white Assassin costume and partly... Well, honestly partly just because I have a major thing for ass kicking black tomboys, I think the medical term is either AlyxVanceitis or Michonne's disease.

I pretty much completely agree with this review, unfortunately. I do appreciate any game that tries to do something different and have some kind of personal, emotionally moving theme but it just didn't quite work with this one. I thought the final half hour or so was pretty close to amazing but it didn't hit me emotionally like Journey or Papo and Yo, which is what it felt like they were trying to do.

The opening is quite interesting and the ending is great but overall ...

Damn, THAT'S it. It's Poochie. I knew he reminded me of something. Obviously he's designed to cater more toward the modern half emo twitter kid generation rather than the surfer dude 90's fad but it's the exact same product of corporate desperation to to appeal to an audience they don't understand or respect. He'll probably be reminding us to recycle 'for da Lulz' or some other such sickening thing. In fact I'd consider putting money on him describing s...
