Sellouts, they've totally mainstreamized the game to appeal to the COD crowd. I remember when this series used to be about the woodcutting and not fancy gadgets and gimmicks.

Aside from a few places home is the only place I can really play stuff on the iPad (or on the Vita when I finally get one on Xmas), I can't imagine living in an area where you could just pull one of those things out at a bus stop or something and not instantly be mugged. Still it's nice to be able to just lie back on a couch or in bed and get into a game.
I'm actually really enjoying this on the iPad and I've never been able to get into these kinds of games. I just never liked the constant hunched over at my PC clicking my mouse in the corner of the screen gameplay but it feels really nice with the touch screen, just being able to curl up in bed and do a half hour or so of adventuring before sleep.

It's not the price that gets me so much as the fact that the game screams out for the HD makeover it's not been given. I'm gonna buy it anyway but it's haaaard to go back to them grainy pixels after so long being pampered by HD.
I hated Far cry 2 as much as its possible to hate data burned onto plastic, I thought the environments were beautiful but I barely consider it a game. It's a tech demo, a broken tech demo at that. Because of this I held off on Far cry 3 for a few days but just bought it out of boredom and its honestly as good as people say it is. It takes the beautiful environments of the first game and builds a great game around them.

I didn't actually watch the video clip earlier because I couldn't get it to play but after watching it I have to say it was a good and satisfying answer. While I still don't like the cover and think its a shame they have to use it, I do appreciate the logical and seemingly honest explanation given. I'm back on board. Still, it's a shame the frat boys have any kind of control over what type of games get funded these days.

Do not play MGS4 first. You'll be absolutely lost and nothing that happens will mean anything to you, I also didn't much like it as a game but I'm in the tiny minority there. If you can handle old old old games the first Metal gear solid still stands up well.

Really liked Demon's souls. LOVED Dark souls. Still not sure I can justify buying this one because I've yet to complete either of the previous games after wussing out when things get tough. In my defence I made it pretty far in Dark souls. I killed the dragon slayer thingy and his fat buddy then met Mrs Booby giant lady but after that gave up.
