For someone so quick to defend their right to like or dislike things for their own reasons you're awfully quick to pass judgement on people who tell you they like this game. The entire game does not involve just wandering through a desert, maybe that's all you see in the demo but that is not indicative of the entire game. This really isn't the type of game you can judge by a demo. You wouldn't go to see the first fifteen minutes of Blue velvet, leave then write up a review abo...
Because 'gamers' like any other group are a grouping of individuals rather than a single entity. You're always going to find people who dislike a certain game or console just as you're always going to find people who like those things. There are people out there who hate Uncharted 2 and people who love Kane and Lynch 2.
By the way I wasn't being snarky just then. I actually enjoyed this article a lot and I think it gives some good reasons as to why the overwh...
Well, I can't get your site to load but I agree with the title. Some great trailers and great news but the overall MTVizing of the thing made me cringe. I'm getting kinda nostalgic for the days when you would be ashamed to call yourself a gamer. When IGN video reviews were done by pudgy nerds who clearly were not reading from a script and seemed intimidated by the camera in front of them. It's a shame the big money went out of the music industry or these hype monsters wouldn't...
Beach boys songs being sung by barbershop quartet? Cyndi Lauper songs playing on calliope? What am I, just to assume that's some fun little in-joke and nothing more? Nuh uh, Bioshock. Not this time, you're not gonna 'Would you kindly' me again. You're up to something, I know it.
The girl in the pictures is not my type at all but she's not even close to being anorexic. She has an athletic body, she clearly works on maintaining a fit and toned body more than most women have the chance to but that's why she's a model. She's paid to keep herself especially physically fit. Complain about how trashy and dull she looks al you want but implying she's anorexic just makes you sound insecure about your own weight. There are models that do look anorexic and s...
It's another sign of the sick double standard in our society. If you're advertising a videogame it's perfectly okay to take photos of a dead woman's rotting corpse provacatively posed in a skimpy bikini but when I do it for my own private use I get fired from the funeral home.
I didn't want to be one of those people who can't handle criticism of a game he's looking forward to and attacks anyone with a dissenting opinion so I gave this article the benefit of the doubt before playing. I wasn't completely sold on this game anyway. It looked great and I love the studio Ghibli style but I've never been a big fan of the JRPG (at least not in recent years) and I had a sense this game could go either way. Flop or amazing.
After playing the...
This company just depresses me. The best technical work in their field wasted on the least imaginative and least artistically daring games it's possible to make. It's as if creativity wasn't a completely free resource. Of course I know it's not about the cost of creating imaginative work really, it's the fact that nobody buys the original games and that's what's so depressing.
I have to admit this game just didnt really do it for me. I think it might have been because I didn't buy it expecting a regular shooter and get pleasantly surprised, I bought it after hearing how its nothing like you imagine and far deeper than it looks and while I can see where people are coming from it just never quite hit me that way.
I actually found it far closer to a regular military shooter than I thought it would be. Sure there are some shocking, 'I can't be...
Looks very nice and crisp but the control issues I had with GTA3 on the iPad make me shudder to think about some of the harder missions in this one. I think I'm getting a Vita for Christmas so I'll probably try and find a copy of Vice city stories to play on that instead (if that's even possible) partly for the better controls and partly because I've never played it before but have run through regular Vice city more than I can count.
I've never even heard of Body odor smiley face, is it any good?
Damn, for someone who's never played God of war he's sure played a lot of God of war.
The idea to cast pretty boy Heath Ledger as the Joker and make him look all dirty and goth was met with dismay and upset by Batman fans who thought the people behind this 'reimagining' were just trying to appeal to the dumb tweens by turning a beloved character into a brooding pretty boy. From the first moment he appeared on screen that reaction did a complete 180 and his performance is already regarded as a classic. I know NT are hoping for the same turnaround but after playing the d...
It's not the cover itself but what it says about the direction the game may be taking. Everything I've seen of this game so far looks amazing but with the delays and behind the scenes drama that's been going on, a cheesy horrible cover does at least get you wondering if there are some bad influences trying to keep this game from being the classy brilliant experience it could be and trying to appeal more to the dumb instant gratification junkies.
I've recently been replaying GTA4 after being out in the mood by the GTA5 trailer and the atmosphere, city and characterisation are amazing but damn, the pacing is horrible. I still have probably a third of the game left to play and I've already had my fill of the same old thing over and over.
Vice city is the best for me but that's mostly just thanks to the soundtrack and style. Nothing better than flying a helicopter at night to Wow by Kate Bush.
All...
This would be my game of the year if not for Journey but I do hope the next season brings in much more player choice. I enjoyed every second of this game but now I kinda know how the trick works with their choice driven gameplay I feel that might keep me from enjoying Season 2 quite as much. Even if they have to release shorter episodes to make room for different decisions I'd take that gladly.
I'm not even demanding choices that stack up and branch off into hundreds ...
I'm considering writing off to Santa to ask him to bring me one of these babies but I have to admit the thing holding me back is Sony's track record of poor support for handhelds and peripherals. To anyone still reading who didn't fly into an insane rage and click disagree until their finger squirted blood after reading what looked like something negative about Sony I should point out that PS3 is my console of choice, I consider it far and away the best console out there right now...
I want them to perform With or without you entirely in zombie moans and then I want zombie Edge to drop his guitar and eat the brains of somebody in the front row.
The GTA series is much more heavily story focused than it was last gen. Would you want the option to play as a big fat green skinned clown with a blue afro in Telltale's walking dead game? Actually, don't answer.
Whenever this kind of thing seems to weird to me I just remind myself that I was about that age when I was watching and loving Total Recall, Dawn of the dead and Robocop. There's stuff in those movies that still disturbs me today, probably disturbs me way more than it did back then. Part of my childhood was watching things I really shouldn't have just like playing things you shouldn't probably is today.
