8 years since Sly 3? Damn. I hate time.
Given that the series has always flirted with the stealth genre if not starting out as a pure stealth game it would be nice if they put in some kind of stealth system. An actual playable combat system wouldn't be bad either.
I'm telling you people it's gonna be new clip-on grips for the L2 and R2 buttons.
I expect good reviews across the board because this is a very safe game. It's kinda hard to screw up something everyone else in the industry has been perfecting for years. It's the games that try something new and daring that get the mixed reviews due to being a little rough around the edges.
Had no idea you could do that. Thanks that's actually very helpful.
I do find the battle system a little clunky, a real time fighting game in which you select block and attack from a list without pausing is a little weird and causes some strange left hand contortions trying to work the left stick and the D pad at the same time. Still that's the only thing about this game that isn't incredibly amazing and this score is at least 90 points too low.
It's the subtle extra touches like bringing a genuine post apocalyptic survivor back in time to serve as creative director on the project that make Naughty dog such a great studio.
Giving or receiving?
The image would be perfect if it stopped at 2009. I have my issues with the whole 'video games objectify women' argument but that's really not an argument put forth by the fake girl gamers. Fake girl gamers are too busy talking about how they're sooo nerdy because they just played ten minutes of Angry birds to actually notice what's going on in the industry.
Still, like it or not, the fake 'omg I'm such a nerd' girl 'gamer' is a real pheno...
I always wanted a zombie game in which one bite equals death. It's such an integral part of what makes them so terrifying, knowing that you're a gonner should you stop paying attention long enough to get bitten once. Of course we could argue that these things are not zombies at all but at least they've got one of the most important features.
Sounds good in theory but in practice when it comes to hardware, 'innovation' usually tends to mean 'gimmicks'. The innovation should come from the games, the console should be a solid and supportive canvas for that innovation and nothing more. No forced waggling, prodding or hula hooping please, just give us a user friendly way of experiencing the innovative and creative works made by the game makers.
I appreciate that the author doesn't like horror games (even though being too scared to play Resident evil 4 in a lit room with friends should qualify as a genuine mental illness) but dammit, we get so few actual horror games, it's almost non-existent as a genre. I hate cheesy macho bro shooters more than this author hates horror games. Guess which one of us has to avoid more games??
Almost everything these days is a cheeseball macho bulletfest, they could turn the next ...
The first one isn't bad I just hope to hope itself that they're not going to put a bright flashing distracting screen on there. The little touch patch would be great but please Sony, please don't make it a little screen that glows at the bottom of my field of vision while I'm trying to concentrate on the TV. I get the feeling my plea shall be in vain and that the pad screen will become standard next gen.
I recently picked up every old Final fantasy game I hadn't played before to play on the Vita and I'm absolutely hooked on them. Every single one of them is fantastic. I've played them more than any other game in my collection recently and that includes the incredible Ni no kuni.
The older games had such depth and set out to genuinely tug at the heart strings and inspire wonder, the newer games are trying to do the same sickening thing so much modern anime and Japa...
Are all your base belong to us?
Absolutely unbelievable graphics and cool design but I'm just so burned out on God of war, especially with this being the third prequel.
Two things make Dark far better than Demons for me. The first is the open world with bonfires system. It makes for a constant feeling of progression. Getting from one bonfire to another almost feels like a kind of sports game rather than the constant restarting of the same level in Demons souls. The second is the more dazzling fantasy art style compared to the constant grim grey dungeons of Demons souls. I see why they went so dark and miserable for the first game but boy could it be depressi...
GTA4 was set in possibly the most beautiful immersive city seen in any game so far, let's just hope next time there's an actual game with some kind of progression in there rather than an endless string of completely interchangeable low speed chases and killings.
You're on a website based around the discussion of videogames and videogame related news, don't be so shocked that more people are complaining about videogames here than world hunger.
Whoa whoa steady on there young whippersnapper, I'm pushing 30 and I'm still hip and groovy and down with what the young folks are doing. I still go to the musical dance clubs and listen to all the latest records on my iPod machine. I like the Fallout boys and enjoy the Gangbam style as much as any other young dude out there.
