Pretty damn cool. I never picked up Sleeping dogs as I was sick of open world action games at the time it came out but now I'm totally in the mood for it. Yet another big name game for the Vita too. When this Instant game collection thing was announced I thought it sounded great but still expected it to be just crappy old games that didnt sell very well and minis nobody was going to buy anyway, I can't believe how many big name cool games we're getting for this thing.
I honestly wanted this game to be good but the demo was the most disappointing thing I've played in a loooong time. Maybe it's just that I had more hope invested in this franchise than either DMC or Resident evil but I feel like this is a worse bastardisation of a franchise than either of those two.

I actually thought the level of humour was fine, it was the same old chase/kill missions over and over and over that really pushed me away. The game was at least a dozen hours longer than it needed to be. The disconnect between the identifiable character of Niko and the fact that you had to play like a psychopath was a little jarring but I don't think returning to the old super silly style is the answer.

I held off on buying the original because I wasn't sure what the deal with this was, if it was a straight remake or whatever. From the looks of it both offer different experiences but I still might start with the original PSP version.

I truly hope they don't go the WiiU route and have a bright distracting little screen on it to take me out of the events on the TV. That would probably be a deal breaker for me. I want to stick with Sony but I also want to buy the console with a regular ordinary button based controller. Sadly I suspect none of them will have one.

I think they need to let the AC series die just like they need to let the others go. These sequels upon sequels upon prequels are really giving a good kicking to my interest in gaming. I say cut them all loose and start completely fresh next generation.

It would be an amazing setting for that kind of game but in terms of gameplay the Assassin's creed series is so fundamentally broken they'd have to completely overhaul everything from the fighting to the stealth (like actually having some kind of stealth system) to get my dirty money.
