If this article hadn't of been published, would YOU have compared the final game to all the screenshots produced throughout development and made the same decision you are now?
Or would you have bought the game on reviews or friends comments and enjoyed it because of those?

People are way too hung up on comparing early target graphics and the final game. Why would you say that, as the game isn't matching screenshots from 2013, I'm not buying it? Assess the FINAL game and make a decision on whether it's a game you want...

Has anyone read the digital license - confess I haven't. Is the 'deal' of purchase (I know this was free) with the company who owns the software or with Sony??

To be honest, if FNC came out as a remaster (better graphics, few tweeks, more up to date roster among the old faves). I'd buy it. Like you say...10 years...too long.

No it's not! You race in classes - and you race against what you have available in the game at the time. So you aren't racing stupid fast cars. It's a tough game but it's not one that needs premium DLC to enjoy!
Friend of mine still plays it without the season pass. There's been an advertised amount of free content (and more), the offline has always been great, the online is great since the launch debacle and he's perfectly happy with the content that he paid full price for. I have the season pass and agree with HellzAssassin. Littered with DLC is a general term applicable to all games of today - and implies you have to buy your way to success. You don't. I agree that there's too much moaning and griping from 'us' (the Royal 'we'!) - but the publishers need to mature a little with the gamers. Reveals are fanning the flames by either be unrealistic, or on a high end PC. Sadly, I think the whole end to end process needs a kick in the butt. Publishers need to show and label what they're showing clearly. Consumers need to know what they're seeing and understand.

I hate my Thrustmaster. Cheap and nasty compared to my Logitech. If you're replacing but have a PS3 or compatible machine, you may regret it. If it's only for a PS4 then there's no choice... :(

I've been playing since launch and the single player wasn't broken. Yes, the 'club' aspect was badly broken but to be honest, at the time it didn't bother me as much as it did the naysayers.
The single player has been tuned over the time since launch too (generally for the better).
My only worry is that there ARE issues when the 'free demo' is released - and potentially those who haven't tried or shared it before decide that it IS good ...
It's called opinion based on previous practice (I was disgusted by the Tiger Woods game for a couple of years). You're welcome to yours and buy all the DLC you want. It's not facts - as I know as much as 99.9% of people on the planet.
