Really? Game pass is "fan service"? Why do the fans insist on spinning and making their own PR?
Real fan service is developing new quality games that are just as good, if not better, than the previous entries.
It also means making these games for core fans of the series rather than making it a cookie cutter business.
They keep trying to get public perception points.
- imitating other popular games(Halo 5 imitating Destiny bosse...
It literally is talk until they produce something. You are the consumer. Not the business.
It means nothing to you until the product is in your hands. You think you provide arguments by constantly nay-saying realistic expectations but you don't. Simply opposing something does not equal an argument.
If MS had the track record to prove a reliable schedule with quality products then we would be excited too. However, they don't. And, that is why we are highly ...
You can't just accept the mass consensus? Are you saying preferring one over the other means hating? Unreasonable.
Ah, but here we see no hating except yourself on these comments so far.
@gemmol
"you think ps4 and Xbox controllers should cost more".
No, I don't. They should also be cheaper. They arent expensive to manufacture. The mark up is higher, especially due to the mass production reducing costs per unit.
I think the joy cons are a justified higher price. I dont know how much the infrared, NFC, and hd rumble compare in costs to the larger ps4 controller with a speaker, touch pad, audio jacks, and full pressure...
The irony of your statement.
Super valid problems listed by this article:
- Online Voice chat is poorly implemented.
- You can't message people on the console itself.
- The online subscription, while cheap($20), is lacking substance. I'd rather buy Virtual Console games like before
- The eShop layout is out-dated. It's not organized well enough, and you can't add multiple items to a cart.
- Controller prices ...

"What do you call PS3's mishaps at the beginning? Or the Wii U life cycle then and with Switch success?"
PS3 was still quite successful. 15 million units short of the PS1, for a drastically more expensive box. While launching to directly compete with the Wii's astronomical success. It also served the major purpose of pushing the Bluray format, which was a different success on its own. The PS4 could be a comeback if you...
@Obscure_Observer
"WTF do you want from Phil Spencer??? What´s there to be negative about Xbox´s future??? What´s there´s to have less faith now than before???"
The amount of question marks shows a bit of emotion, which indicates bias. Please, be objective about argumentation. Ever heard of "History repeats itself"? XBox has had many big studios and partnerships before. Several times. They all went down the gutter. ...
Totally agreed. I just rewatched the MGS1 opening scene remake. Gives goosebumps everytime.
His characters were so different and fully realized with histories. And, to have so much attention to their manneurisms and voice acting for its release was way ahead of its time. Each boss has such great dialogue.
I love VR, I really want them to release VR controllers similar to the Oculus controllers. It takes getting used to. But, having an analog for movement is still the best way, unless you really want to invest in a big experimental set up with little support to input stationary walking inputs. I also prefer the right analog to still turn your body, while the VR will stay as your head. Spinning around causes issues, mainly with the cord. So, games are limited by keeping that in mind and putting ...
See. It's the other way around.
MS didn't somehow make a comeback by doing anything right. They simply made extremely bad decisions that caused them to sink, and then they fixed some of the issues and sales turned to okay. Don't play it off like an underdog making a comeback by a good strategist. The issues were self inflicted and easy to see. It's not a typical comeback.
Border = Outer
Lands = Worlds
These words mean the same thing.
It looked super similar to Borderlands in the trailer to me. The name just makes it a slap in the face to tell you that it is. It really needs to show some uniqueness. Looks far too similar for me to get hyped for it. Worried we're just gonna get the same old thing from another studio. It's a bit more familiar than your usual inspiration.
Exactly. I was hoping for individual system and suit upgrades. With some sort of experimental shop to give salvaged gear to for potential upgrading or creating wild card machinery.
The classes need a lot of perks too.
Like, an Engineer class would be great for suit repairs in the field, giving a buff to speed, armor, or weaponry. Planting turrets and mines. Also, free repairs in town, once you are competent enough.
Or, a Sentinel that provides better info...
Don't hold that thought just yet. We still have a small glimpse of the story and the release isn't far off now. I'm also not seeing any sign that the progression will be very good. Hopefully, the perk upgrades and weapon selection is far more diverse at launch. The customization for your Javelin is pretty extensive though. That does look extremely good.
Personally, I'm really hoping for an Armored Core sort of customization for armor pieces, to some degree....
@NarutoFox
It would be cool? Really? It would be cool just that the game is exclusive rather than available for everyone?
I'm not bashing exclusivity in general. It's what pushes the console makers to push their own hardware even more.
But, this game is clearly not the case of first party involvement.
I can't see how no one has linked this to being a Borderlands ripoff yet.
Border = Outer
Lands = Worlds
Not just the name either. I watched the trailer and thought it was following the Borderlands formula very closely, and then the name just nailed it in the head. I'm not saying it's a bad thing to pull inspiration and explore similar avenues. But, if this came out last gen then everyone would be calling it a carbon copy based on this trailer.
Lol, it's a clone of Borderlands. Look at the name. "Outer Worlds". "Border" "Lands".
Border = Outer
Lands = Worlds
It's so weird how much this was like Borderlands and how the name is pretty much an explicit ripoff.
I'm gonna guess it's Kessen making a comeback
Breath of Fire 3. I was about 7 years old when I played this game. And, I already beat FF7 and OoT. But, the artwork of BoF3 always resonated with me and I loved the character designs and the dragon gem system. There is a vast world of many different cultures and architectures. When I eventually started watching/reading One Piece I was instantly reminded of BoF3 and respected it much more then. We don't get many games with the same interesting concepts and areas that stand out from each o...
There is not much to be done for MP shooters. The formula is constantly redone. It takes very little effort to reskin weapons and abilities/perks, and add new maps. It can be done within a few months. But, they lengthen the release schedule to prevent saturating the market. Especially, in CoD's case.
I'm pretty confident that they said they would be characters we wouldn't expect.
We have four characters left to guess.
I know that Goku has been requested a LOT. Funimation even tweeted a "Challenger Approaching" image with a Goku outline asking Nintendo, " Hey Nintendo, When's our boy Goku going to join the fight?".
