They could've done so much with the assets they already have. Side stories, more open ended gameplay, you name it. This one and done thing within AAA gaming is ridiculous and part of the reason it's unsistainable.
You don't have to Yakuza, but you could certainly learn something from that series.

Because the more the company make the more the ones at the top want to make. So they just Layoff people and pass on their work to the rest. Thus making the devs overworked, tired, mentally and physically exhausted and afraid to do or say anything because the can be next. And they know there is a plethora of up and comers that would do anything to get their job.
Hope this helps them turn it around.

Played it and...Yikes! No bueno. The gameplay feels just bad. Cheap, if you will. As if this is just a thrown together level for a proof of concept.
When the remasters of Quake 1 and 2 feels miles better than your new game, using the Unreal engine, that's when you know you fudged up.

Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls are terrible games. Absolutely god awful low tier trash. And although, Detroit:Become Human is a bit better, the Hostage Negotiation scene is the one true highlight of that game. Wish the rest of the game was more like that instead of what it ended up being from a story/gameplay experience. Still, a much better effort I guess.
Mayhaps in a few more games they'll actually release something worth playing again. Mayhaps Press X to Doubt.
