It was not a remake but a reimagination instead. I think the only thing it retained from Silent Hill 1 was the premise of Harry Mason trying to find his daughter, but most everything else is different.
Silent Hill 1, for fudge sake. This weird jump was bad enough but now we'll just ignore the best game in the series and the one that started it all? Not even Capcom did that. In fact, Resi 1 Remake is the best Resident Evil game ever. That's how good Capcom treated that classic.

Seriously, the games in the From Software's Soulsborne series are the best 3D Castlevania games we will ever get. From Bloodborne to Elden Ring, Konami will never approach that level of quality and give Castlevania its due respect. EVER! People forget how bad Nintendo really is. All three companies are terrible for their own reasons, but Nintendo is the most vindictive and most hostile toward gamers out of the three.

While it sucks that we'll never see an actual Remake of that intro nor are we getting a Remake with the original darker look, I think it would be nice if they at least included the Sega CD version as a bonus in this collection.
