@YourMommySpoils - Which is not what they actually meant. But I already ended this story. So don't worry about it.

"Passive aggressive weirdness." Strange. I could've sworn it was you, with your cowardly behavior, who was being a passive aggressive weirdo... Oh, wait! It was.

"It was enough for you to write a manifesto." Yes, we get it. Too much text scares you. Cool story, bro.

"It looks to me you got your money's worth." I didn't. Money back, please.

@anast - Yes, we all know that ever since AssCreed 2 and Far Cry 3, Ubisawft committed itself to designing games by committee. They saw all that money, and they have been more or less making the same type of "Ubisawft" copypasta games ever since. Yeah, we know, bud. This is nothing new or novel. And it certainly didn't start with Outlaws.

So, is this what you meant by "a small group of people, and only that small group bought it?" Basically, you'...

Again, if this was a one-off I wouldn't have cared. They have a history of doing that. And that's fine. But they instead scraped the original series and started another one in its stead, while using the franchise's history and name recognition as a springboard. That's just fucked up. Why didn't they just made a new IP instead? Why piggyback on something so unique as the Yakuza franchise?

How would it go if they turned Grand Turismo or Tekken or Hitman i...

"They're literally the same under the hood apart from the combat." C'mon, dude. Now you're just saying stupid shit just to win the argument. They changed the actual genre of the game and you're saying that it's literally the same game under the hood? It literally isn't. Even you have to read that and admit that's the dumbest shit you could've said.

What's next? Change Grand Turismo to instead of driving the cars yourself, you u...

The world in Morrowind was vastly superior and way more varied than Oblivion. Morrowind was also the last time where you could actually kill all the important NPCs, including the main quest givers, while Oblivion took steps to protect the important NPCs. Thus making Oblivion the beginning of making the franchise way too casual, or AAA. Regardless, the liberty to off anyone was liberating. Oh, and the Oblivion Gates suuucked.

While I can give you the fact that the whole RNG/...

Why? Make a Morrowind Remake instead. Which is the superior game and the best in the series for sure.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth are a fucking joke and not Yakuza games. These are just superficial turd-based "RPGs" that spawned out of an April Fool's gag only to become full fledged shit shows that ruined the series. And the most pathetic thing is that even as JRPGs goes, these two are not even good.

"But they sold more!!" So did Taylor Swift and Pokemon!!!

So fuck these two games and bring back the ...

You might think the idea to be dumb, but what you're failing to realize is that what you think and what it is is a complete different thing altogether. This is an undeniable fact that has happened and will continue to happen, not just for games, but for a myriad of other things in life. Regardless, I was just pointing out that the article not only echoes my points, but it shows that I'm not the only one in the same boat.

And like I said, it pays to temper expectati...

A lot of what that article talks about sounds familiar, doesn't it? I wasn't trying to bring down the series just trying to put its release in perspective.

And like I said, I do hope that the series return is successful. Especially if it goes down the Horror Samurai Vibe. But it pays to temper expectations, even if Capcom won't. And it pays to be pragmatic about things is all.

You usually hear people throw "that looks like a PS2" as a pejorative slang just to rag on some game they dislike, but holy fuck, THIS literally looks like a PS2 game. And an ugly one at that. WTF? I know the Switch sucks and is low-tier tech, but c'mon! It can at least put out some good looking games like Luigi's Mansion 3, Mario Kart and Metroid Prime Remake. Like, WTF is this shit?

I do have to agree with this article; some games are simply not meant f...

@goken - You clearly misunderstood @UnbreakableAlex3h's point. Then, for some reason, created a strawman to attack in order to make a point that they didn't make.

The comment was very obviously directed at the entertainment industry and their inability to criticize the central government. For obvious reasons.

They really need to fix the traffic and the traffic light system. Cars just randomly stop, at lights, at corners, just stop. Then the light system doesn't feel real. If the player gets close to it it just changes to green. It's just weird. Just make it like GTA and be done with it.

Also, the car system. As in can the system remembers the last place I left my car? 90% of the time my car disappears after I do one of the side missions, and sometimes, randomly, it'...

I would not use Wukong as a barometer for success for any other game outside Wukong. There's en entire backstory and lore surrounding that game that do not and will not translate to other games. While Nioh and Sekiro and other Soulslike are the games closer to Onimusha, for obvious reasons, and are the ones closer and more realistic to how Onimusha might do in the marketplace.

"While you can imagine Sekiro, Nioh, Bloodborne, etc. have given us an iteration of Oni...

No, no, no. People, as always, are misinterpreting what I said. I'm not saying there's no room. I'm saying that the field Onimusha belongs to might be cluttered is all. Thus making people burned out or fatigued at the prospect of another game that might look similar to a SoulsBorne game. Even if this game isn't a Soulslike. We've seen it often, when there's too many Zombie games, or too many Military shooters, or Fighting games, people tend to stick with the popular ga...

I have to agree with you, yours is a dumbass take. If talking about spiritual successors/complementary/-esqu e games, basically games that relate to each other, either through gameplay style or themes, is too complicated for you or offensive to you, then go whine somewhere else. I don't need to take a dip in the shallow pool. That's a you thing.

But if you decide to grow up and put a bit more effort and substance into your comments, then we can talk about it for sur...
