I never said it was bad, did I? Doesn't seem like it, no. What I said is that the style of Gameplay Remedy relies on for most of their games, Third Person Shooting, is just shallow in the worst way. Which does a great disservice to their Weird and Quirky Style. I'm lamenting that they're not trying to bring the Gameplay elements up in quality in order to match their Story and Presentation Style is all.

But maybe you arrived at that conclusion because deep down t...

I'm the opposite. Because their Gameplay is so shallow and thin, I'm unable to completely immerse myself in their games. The way I see it, most of their games are simple Third Person Shooters that do a great disservice to their Style. I want to immerse myself in their Weird Stories and Worlds but Pew! Pew! Pew! Watch a Cinematic it's not for me.

Now, to be fair, Alan Wake 2 is the only game of theirs I haven't played. So maybe they turned it around. Which wo...

Remedy has the Style down for sure. But when it comes to what really matters, the Gameplay, their games always face plant hard. From Max Payne to Control to Alan Wake, their games are just too shallow to be that interesting for long periods of time. They need to find a way to figure out how to translate their quirkiness into the Gameplay proper.

I think their games would be amazing if they take some stuff from Frogwares' games. Especially since most of Remedy's game...

Since the Devs apparently are being shut down, I see very little intensive to support this game. I mean, you do you if you're a hardcore fan or whatever, but don't feel rushed to go out and buy it is all I'm saying. Maybe spend the money on games where the devs are actually being directly compensated for their efforts, while waiting for this to go on a deep, deeeeeeeeeeeeeeep sale, or buy it use, or...you know.

"...I'm thinking."

Thinking? You? 😂 No way. More like fantasizing. And we know what about. Come on, kid. Staying in there is gonna do you no good. Come out and be at peace or whatever.

@lucian229 - So Sweet Baby Inc. is now NOT wOkE anymore and a digital representation of a woman, like Aloy from Horizon, is ok to have facial hair without being wOkE? Got it.

It's hard to keep up with what's wOkE and what's not nowadays. But I'm sure glad you didn't change your mind about these game because they were successful or anything like that. Because of course that would've destroyed your far-right narrative...

Good to know...

That main character is giving me some Spy Fiction/Extermination/WinBack PS2 vibes. Very generic anime action hero.

Meh.

'Roadmap the Game' is an absolute Classic!

"Plus, as we continue refining the production schedule for 2025" Oh, NO!!!! It has been delayed? Well, at least it was only this one time. I'm sure it won't happen again.

Can't wait...

How's the emulation these days on the Xbox Series X? It's the only reason I see to get one.

While I disagree with you, I'll not get into the why. Instead I'll just say this: Thank You for a normal response.

And to the rest of the Posters that might come back after I Necroed this Thread:
You see, Weirdos? You could've just say something like this and we could've have a normal conversation.

I agree. Some very wild over reactions by a lot of people here.

"This was easily the original series weakest points and they did a pretty bad job at conveying important story details. This could easily change all that."
Hard disagree. The story was well told from the perspective of a nobody. It used Environmental story telling and conversations with NPCs in order to give you a more intimate and personal stake in the story without taking out of it. It di...

And your response tell me you clearly are off your meds. Listen, kid. There are people in far worst situations than Ukrainians, and that sucks. For ALL of them. But what the fuck does that have to do with a video game? Now they should not be criticized for a game? What? THINK... Use your brain for once in this only lifetime, bud.

By the way. Do you do background checks on all video games devs to see what's their situation before making a critique? No. No, you don't....

😂 - Yes. Please, check out my comment history and then come back with this idiocy. Amazing. Stupid, but impressive.

You have spunk, kid. It's all over your face, but at least you have it.

"This comment shows that gamers will complain about anything smh"

Yeah, Lmao, bud. That's not you disagreeing with me, that's you bitching and moaning about my opinion on something. At least try a bit next time, kid. And stop being such a Pick-me.

But you do you or whatever.

Yes, of course. And it's not on cutscenes. Wasting resources on Cutscenes in a series like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is just as bad as wasting it on a series like Bloodborne or The Elder Scroll. Sure you have the intro, and some small stuff here and there, but that would never be or should be the priority. If you want Cutscenes then you might want to try Metro or something else.

"It's their baby." And? It's a commercial product after all. And while I would never...

Don't do that, bud. Don't be the Pick-me gamer on the comment section. It's not a good look. Either engage with me in good faith or go whine somewhere else.

STALKER is one of my favorite game series of all time and as someone that plays 1 and 3 constantly, especially with mods, seeing them put a video about Cutscenes is extremely worrisome. Again, this is not Metro, and this is not what the series is about. Hope this video is just to fill out time and these are ...

Uh, oh... This no bueno. The original 3 S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games didn't used many nor they really needed Cutscenes, other than to setup some stuff. They were the type of games that were almost and completely driven by Environmental Storytelling, with just normal interactions and dialogue with other NPCs or items. While the few Cutscnenes it did have where left for the beginning, the end, and when you went to sleep, or for very small sections of the game, like when finding Streloks' Hideou...
