Do me a favor, next time you feel like talking, click on the little "Open Zone" tab first.
I think it's because the game is censored in New Zealand.
According to this website (whoever they are), this is the highest rating they've ever given a game.
It's important to remember different sites/mags judge different scores differently. A 10 at IGN is not equal to a 10 at Gamestop, and so forth.
You know, the Open Zone is just one click away.

If you want your answer, go watch the gameplay videos IGN has posted from the 360 version.
Very little, if any, noticeable pop-up or framerate issues, either online or offline, with quite a bit of activility going on, including a damn helicopter flying down the street in multiplayer.
I realize there's absolutely no point in trying to have a non-bias conversation with you, but heck, I'm just that bored I guess.

Everyone seems to be completely ignoring the final thought, which is "buy the one your friends are playing", which is what I've said for months, but apparently they'd rather focus on things like "if you compare them frame by frame and side by side you can tell the PS3 version looks a little bit smoother."

Except that achievements and custom soundtracks are available now, not at some random, undetermined point in the future.

I wonder if any of the people posting have actually played Mario Kart on the Wii or not.
I picked it up last night and it it's just, well, FUN. Which a lot of games seem to miss these days. Of course, I haven't played any Mario Kart games since Mario Kart 64 so a lot of the stuff that isn't new seems to new to me.

Guys, think about it, there are any number of explanations for that picture -
A faulty console.
A faulty pirated disc.
A faulty retail disc.
Do you think any game with those kind of glitches would get perfect scores anywhere?
This isn't just "pop-in", it's blatant graphical errors like buildings appearing and then disappeairng. Huge difference.
Or, they could choose the version with the controller they prefer and which more of their friends are playing.
Which could be either the PS3 or the 360, depending on their personal situation.

The comparison between versions is valid and does matter, certainly.
However, it does NOT matter to the point where you have to post articles that do nothing but repeat quotes from articles that have already been posted.

360 owners are over it, but apparently PS3 fanboys aren't, since they seem desperate to post every single article on the internet that even references the IGN review saying that the PS3 version has technical advantages over the 360 version.
Why do you want Sony to "finish" the console war? Do you really want competition to end and for Sony to have a monopoly on the gaming industry? Do you have ANY idea how bad that it would be for the gaming world if ANY company had a monopoly?
