Well, guess I better take the 360 version back and get the PS3 version. Damn!
You rock. +Bubble for you.
Viva la gamers.
Actually, it's multiconsole.
Oh wait, you were being a silly fanboy.
My mistake.
This is ridiculous. I honestly never saw it coming.
Every major game review site and magazine is going nuts. Absolutely nuts. Like this is the second coming of Zelda 64 but with guns and hookers.
Don't get me wrong, I expected the game to be incredible, but this is a whole. nother. level.
Best time to be a gamer ever?
Maybe.
The cake ISN'T a lie?
PS:
Wouldn't the portal gun in a GTA game be AWESOME?
You have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what clipping means, do you?
Clipping is when polygons overlap in the same space (ie, a leg or piece of clothing goes through a wall). It has NOTHING to do with pop-in.
Your lame attempts at slamming the 360 version are really getting sad at this point.
There's a great YouTube video, somewhere, of someone trying a stunt jump in San Andreas and getting nailed by random plane crash.
Here it is:

Rockstar devs are, unqestionably, the masters of the Small Details.
Which is one reason among many that their games are so damn awesome.
This could be very cool, or quite terrible.
The above comment was brought to you by "Stating the Obvious, Inc."
Mine failed, too. Yeah, I was pretty pissed, but life goes on, and hey, Mass Effect wasn't going to play itself.
I'm fairly certain God hates me, so my 360 will die 2 hours into GTA4 anyway. I'm mentally prepared for this fact.
Epic win, and +bubble for you, good sir. N4G would be a better place with more of your kind.
I would steal their car, run them over, buy a hooker, kill her and take back my money, then buy a gun and go on a killing spree to increase my wanted level.
...no, violent video games haven't affected me at all, why do you ask?
You know how averages work, right?
The 360 version has 18 reviews on Metacritic. The PS3 version only has 14. Ergo, it's more likely that the PS3 version will have a higher average.
How is that for a "reason"?
@Below:
Way to completely avoid the logic behind what I said. Do you not understand that a 4 review difference can be a big deal when it comes to calculating averages? Or do you just not care?
Perso...
Sorry, I don't mean to come across that way.
I'm just frustrated that people are so blinded by their fanboy biases that they can't just put their differences aside and enjoy an incredible game. Who cares about a little AA here or a pop-in there? The game is INCREDIBLE, on both platforms. Which means MORE people get to enjoy it.
This is an *awesome* day for gamers. Not just PS3 owners, or 360 owners, but GAMERS. And I wish people would quit tarnishing it with...
It's a GTA game. Cutscenes are all in-engine. So the graphics comparison is valid. Also, as #5 says below - they've played both versions, this cutscene was just used for a video comparison. After all, with an open-world game like GTA, it's hard to 'sync up' two versions to do a direct comparison without relying on a cutscene such as this.
After all, there's weather to account for, as well as pedestrians, time of day, etc.
@Below:
I've watched a...
Blah blah blah blah blah.

"The barely perceptible difference will have zero impact on your enjoyment of the game."
What was that, you say?
"The barely perceptible difference will have zero impact on your enjoyment of the game"?
Interesting.
"The barely perceptible difference will have zero impact on your enjoyment of the game."
Can we say it again now?
"The barely perceptible difference will have zero impact on your enjoyment of the game."
One more time?
"The barely perceptible difference will have zero impact on your enjoyment of the game."
Now let's all STFU about the version differences, come together as GAMERS, and enjoy ...
It's an interesting point they make about the Wii - you can mock it for being underpowered and focusing a lot on "kiddy" games, but it IS the console with the most options for local multiplayer. Especially if not everyone playing is a big gamer. Most of my friends aren't gamers, but do enjoy the Wii.
Though honestly, as a party game for casuals, I think Rock Band blows away any currrent Wii offerings.
