Am I the only one who loves CT's graphics and think they DON'T need an upgrade? I'm not sure a 3D remake on the DS could live up to the beauty of the original's graphics. Same with FF6, actually.
I actually tried CT on emulator on the PSP, but could never get it to run that smooth. So if Square wants to put one of their greatest games on the DS for an extra bit of scratch, more power to 'em. I know I'll buy it - assuming no technical issues - because I love the game. And...
I loved Dead Rising on the 360, but I doubt I'll get the Wii version unless it has substantial new content. And I highly doubt the Wii can manage the same number of zombies on-screen that the 360 could.
Dead Rising 2 plz? That game just demands an entire open-world city instead of just a itty bitty mall...
You can't get more off-topic than that.
@OP:
Why does everyone assume Sony wins exclusives through "loyalty", and Microsoft wins them through "bribery"? No matter what you want to think, Sony is not the White Knight Hero, and Microsoft is not the Evil Dark Knight Villain. Developers have plenty of reasons to be just as "loyal" to Microsoft as they are to Sony. Why would they not enjoy working on the platform that a majority of develop...
XB2? Do you mean the XBox 36---OOOH WAIT, I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE. Very clever, sir. Well played.
Well, the DLC hasn't come out ye---OOOH WAIT, I GET IT. You were being *sarcastic*. Hilarious, I say. Truly a bright shining wit here on N4G.
The day is yours.
Microsoft fanboys think N4G is Sony-biased and Sony fanboys think N4G is Microsoft biased.
Personally, I think most commenters and submitters here are Sony fans (not fanboys, necessarily - just fans) which leads to a somewhat Sony-leaning site, but I guess that's just me.
Either way, it never gets old.
I'm a fan of the 360, and of XBL, but there was no need to make this comment. This has little-or-nothing to do with PSN and more to do with Konami's inability to properly manage their online game.
Stop trying to start a fight by making this something it isn't.
360 can "barely run MGS3"?
Your entire post was discredited with that one line of crap.
Dear Lord I wish people would just let this whole "betrayal" thing go.
You win. As I said the day the FF13 announcement was made:
If you think Microsoft, Nintendo OR Sony care about you in any way beyond the money you give them, you're a very deluded person
Thanks for your post - you've saved me having to make a real one.
+Bubbles, and such.
...awesome.
I dunno, I might need that bubble by the end of the day. N4G is crawling with angry Sony fanboys today, and they seem to be lashing out at anyone who isn't calling Microsoft the Evil Satan who destroyed gaming for all the True Gamers.
Wow, N4G has really gone crazy today.
Someone can make a post that clearly belongs in the Open Zone and get a swarm of "agrees". Gotta love it.
Giant Lists > Actual Intelligent Conversation, AMIRITE!?
If you want to blame anyone for that, don't blame Microsoft.
Blame EA, the company that bought strong, small, independent studios who made great games - and then destroyed those studios.
Sorry you aren't a real gamer, then.
I guess I don't consider anyone who would avoid playing great games for sad fanboy reasons to be a real gamer.
Yes, that's a broad, blanket, and perhaps unfair statement. I don't really care. It's just...sad to see someone so devoted to a corporation that only views people as giant walking wallets.
If you think Microsoft, Nintendo OR Sony care about you in any way beyond the money you give them, you're a very delude...
Are you really so desperately in love with Sony that you're personally offended when a company makes a business decision that involves bringing a popular game series to a different console?
The PC introduced online gaming.
Are you going to explain or justify that comment, or just sit contently while the small army of N4G Sony fanboys click "agree" and make you think you actually said something intelligent or noteworthy?
You live in an amazing fantasy land if you think the gaming industry has ever been about anything other than making money.
I agree. FF7 was an awesome game, especially for its time, but the only people really demanding a remake are the hardcore fans.
Most hardcore fans will likely get a PS3 in the long run, regardless of any FF7 remake. I don't think too many casual gamers are gathering in hordes to demand it.
