Glass houses, man
Sounds like the 360 got the best components of the Cell processor.
This is why I laugh every time someone lists the PS3's browser as a "feature" over the 360. Like anyone really cares about web browsing on their consoles. Web trends show that even Netscape was used more often last year than the PS3 browser.
This looks amazing, even compared to the first one.
The PS3 is still sold at a loss, and I don't think Sony has ever claimed otherwise.
Uncharted 2 and GOW 3 are the only thing they have this year that look interesting. MAG is still vaporware and Heavy Rain looks like another niche title at best.
It's a pity all of the PS3's exclusives still amount to average sales and acclaim. I might just be too late for the PS3.
Digital downloads are the way to go. Blu ray is not an optimum format for game delivery.
The trailer is going to be shown at E3 this year, and they've made some major additions to the game.
Why is no one talking yet about Crackdown 2? That's going to be a major title this year.
Who the heck approves these stories?
It's N4G, Sony fanboy central
Fail.
SPE's =/= cores
@ cayal
I know that NPD is just America, you moron. I'm saying that it's amusing that Killzone 2 is supposed to be the biggest FPS the PS3 is likely to see, and it's only sold 600,000 in American - where FPSs sell the best.
Sad.
Oh right, there are a lot of PS3 fans here approving these stories. Says a lot about the userbase.
@iiprotocolii
You've obviously not gamed much online with the 360 then. VoIP is a high quality transmission protocol for sending speech over internet lines. PSN does *not* support VoIP for ingame chat. Live has supported VoIP since 2003 when they added servers for it. Google that if you don't believe me.
I've played Call of Duty 4 since it's launch on the Playstation and the voice quality is subpar - too much ambient noise and overall much more tinny than the Live he...
I'm simply using the offical NPD results as an example. Quote VGChartrz all you want, but the fact remains that a AAA game for a Playstation console can't even reach the presales of Halo or Gears - that should tell you something.
It's unlikely that the PS3 will ever outsell the 360, not unless the 360 is phased out for another console.
It's sad that the PS3 fanboys are getting moist thighs over Killzone 2, a game which has barely sold a million copies yet - a feat almost doubled by Halo 3 in presales.
Think on that.
Just goes to show, even a mega-hit EXCLUSIVE like Killzone 2 can't help the PS3 sell consoles. I'll bet the salivating PS3 fans probably love that feeling of being such EXCLUSIVE gamers.
I'd love a MGS4 that I didn't have to install onto the hard drive every chapter.
