Don't think they're talking about the grind as in trophies but the levelling up.
Anyway, if you thought the trophies were a grind in Dirt have fun racing over and over and over to get the level 40 trophy I'm GT5!!
The car handling and graphics may be top notch in GT5 but I can't be the only person that has got fed up with the single player grind once you reach the late 20's, extremely tedious.
I agree with the Devs. If you could combine the career paths of games such as Dirt and Shift with the handling model of GT5 you'd have the perfect racer in my opinion.
Decision? ... Gonna pick it up too but still not getting my hopes up too high!
According to an Edge (ahem..) preview the 360 version was running a lot smoother than the PS3 although neither compared favourably to the PC version.
Sounds like you'll be happy if it's got a cool picture on the box, some of us need more from a game.
Waiting for a demo to see if the handlings any good this time ...
At the moment you buy 1 month and get two free so that's $12 for 3 months worth of racing! If your got a wheel you owe it to yourself to try it, you'll love it I promise lol!
You should try iracing if you're all about the "simulation" aspect. I've just switched from GT5 to that and I doubt I'll ever touch another gran turismo...
BlackBoi : I think your parents would be better off spending their money on educating you rather than an endless supply of games.
And you have your own business? Selling sweets to the kids in your classroom isn't really running a business, sorry.
Have you played lbp?!?! It's exactly the same in both lbp 1&2 and it had to be that way to ensure that the 3 million community levels still worked in lbp2.
You don't have to defend a game with a metacritic score of 93, I love the gameplay in lbp, and create mode means it's the game I've played the most of in 25years of gaming.
Read the preview, basically it's still crap. Shame, I'd almost convinced myself I might buy it simply to have another game to try my new wheel on! Here's hoping Dirt and Shift 2 are good enough to tide me over until Forza...
That's my biggest fear too! On paper I could enjoy this more than I am GT5 but it's all going to come down to handling, keeping my fingers crossed though ...
Try reading the article before posting. Theyre talking about the success of a "console" mmo and whether Blizzard will respond with WoW on consoles.
The game is awesome but I don't think we can call it a success until we see how many people are playing in a year.
Stealth trolling?! I love n4g, the delusions of paranoid fanboys mean that an open ended unbiased statement is now seen as "stealth trolling" ... pure genius.
In the future I see rehabilitation clinics being setup to treat personality disorders centering around extreme fanboyism.
Lol, was in an Edge preview, decided I'd be starting a flame war with that one so got rid!
For some it's just flame bait but I have both consoles and base my choice on graphical performance if they play identically.
More important than the graphics is how the car handles! I loved the idea of the first game but the floaty handling meant I traded it pretty quickly.
I forget people of all ages visit this site, I guess this is one for the kids.
At last somebody who isn't a blinded by fanboyism! GT5 is a "good" game but the career and tuning/customization is sooo dated.
Problem is that most PS3 owners are too busy defending the game rather than admitting that there's issues that need to be addressed in GT6. Car handling has always been brilliant but the rest of the game needs a major overhaul...
Bring on the fanboy disagrees ...
