Yup, played 4 hours straight tonight on the EU beta without a single crash. Before the patch I'd crash at least once an hour.

Edge gave a 7 to GT5, it has a metacritic score of 84 so I don't think that's any harsher than they usually are. I'd personally rate GT5 8 at the moment, if they keep up the patches it'll end up being an 8.5/9 game.
In reality Polyphony wouldve been best off delaying the game until it was finished even if that had meant a Fall 2011 release date, wouldve saved a lot of moaning and groaning ...

That's laughable! I love GT but by now I fully expected Polyphony to have learnt something from Turn 10. Where are the custom liveries, where are the huge tuning options forza has, where are the community features I.e. weekly competitions, official forums, leaderboards??
GT still has the best handling, just, it has better graphics on 200 cars, and a handful of tracks are amazing to look at but Turn 10 is catching up fast.
I'm just glad I get to play...
