Dan, the creator of microsofts rival simulator Forza. Fanboys can have their tug of war, luckily for me I own both consoles so enjoy the best of both worlds. I put 150hours into forza3 and will no doubt put a similar amount into GT5. Both great games, period.
Fanboy does seem an apt description for you Bishop! I just ordered a fanatec after comparing reviews between the G27 and GT3s. The fanatec shifter is widely regarded as superior to the logitech, maybe you should try one?
@bishop : fanatec have been working on a clubsport shifter for some time, latest reports indicate a March 2011 release.
Plus if you new anything about sim racing products you'd know that the standard fanatec shifter is superior in feel and use to the G27s.
No comparison, if you can afford it you buy the Fanatec.

Why not? I'm not saying that NFS will be better than GT5, I doubt it'll get anywhere near as good tbh but it makes sense to compare driving games whether their exclusives or multiplatform.
Its fairly easy to better GT5s failures but they will never better Polyphonys handling model so they have to resort to gimmicks. I'll stick with GT5 thanks ;)

Having said that, many F1 drivers admit to playing GT and pc sims for fun, wonder what their gamertags are ...
If you played it an hour a day for a year without installing you'd be looking at loading screens for 5-6 hours longer than someone who had installed it, your choice though ....

Just taken the plunge, ordered a fanatec gt3rs with club sports, 6 speed shifter and rennsport wheel stand ... The bummer is I'll have to put up with my Driving Force gt until January :(
The maps small?! You do realise that there metropolis and Gotham right? I thought the play area was pretty big, full release should include paradise island too.
