What a ridiculous comment. The point is that a "skilled" pad user will get owned by a "skilled" keyboard and mouse user.
It's probably a little too grown up for you two.
Couldn't agree more. Coming from GT and Forza I've realised this is the serious racing sim I've always imagined. It isn't cheap but it is the best racing sim out there.
No, I'm pretty sure I'm not lying to myself. I love having a Wheel in my hands because along with my gamepod that delivers a gaming experience that's closer to real life but waggling my arms and jumping up and down in front of a television fails to add any immersion for me. If you love it that's great but if I'm not playing a racing game then I'll stick to a pad or mouse/keyboard combo thanks.
The only motion control I'm interested in comes from my force feedback wheels.
They may as well save F-Zero for Wii HD, and please, no motion control bollocks.
And that's why I love iracing, because all the kids obsessed with graphics can play their GT5s and Shifts leaving the adults to have close races without the crashers you get in those games online.
Apparently the Lotus will be patched. I'm enjoying it on PC after finding the PS3 version a nightmare to control with a Fanatec.
Having gone from the ps3 version to the PC I'm enjoying this game a lot more, graphics are very nice and gameplays a fun diversion from the real sims.
What and not the 360 version? Why, because of the graphics? On that logic it should be 8.5 for 360, 9.0 for PS3 and 9.5 for PC. I'm guessing you're a PS3 owner, sorry, that's the second best version.
Think you're assuming that PC owners don't play consoles too! I have a 360 and PS3 and am currently awaiting delivery of my new gaming PC.
PC gamers tend to be a little older and therefore can afford to chuck a little more of their hard earned cash at their gaming.
I thought "unleashed" was a bad name for a racing game but "unbounded"?!!
I'm not bothered about the online because it's too hard finding fair players on consoles, iracing is all I need for multiplayer, can't beat 30 cars thundering around Daytona.
It's the single player that has disappointed me in this, cautions are a mess, wheel support/configuration is awful, damage is too toned down, and the a.i. wreck you at any given opportunity. Once they iron out the flaws I think it'll be a fun game.
In it's present state the game is a 6/10. Patch #2 looks like it's going to fix a lot of the glitches, bugs, omissions and could bump the game up to an 8/9 if they get it right.
You are an idiot and obviously haven't played Papyrus's titles or iRacing.
Yeah that'd be great considering half the fun in NASCAR is the wrecks, don't know if you're aware but Polyphony aren't great at modelling damage...
As a steering wheel user there's absolutely no communication from my Fanatec about what the cars doing and the constant swerving down the straights is ridiculous. Helmet cam seemed like a great idea in theory and whilst it looks cool it just makes picking a smooth line around a bend even harder.... back to Forza and GT for me.
You guys playing the same game as me?! It's great until you start driving...
You can leave the T500 in the box buddy, doesnt work with Shift on the PS3 :(
@Nathan and Fatalred : What is the point in comparing a Skilled vs Average player?! If you prefer a pad that's fine, I prefer a pad too but I'm under no illusions that a mouse and keyboard offers a distinct advantage.
