PS4 powered by Brawndo?
Actually, the Edge article noted a bunch of devs that spoke to performance advantages in specific areas. It's not restricted to "just" the PCF guy.
But he wasn't. There are plenty of people on GAF that know the ins and outs of hardware and development.
But they don't work at McDonalds... so I guess they're not experts on "secret sauce."
Odd how so many people think it's just an issue of lighting or color or an AA filter or something that was shopped... they don't even see the two clipping issues on the NPC's left shoulder that were edited out.
It's a minor clipping issue, but it *was* edited out of the image. Funny how people who think they have such a great eye for detail that they can visually tell 4xAA from 8xAA.... can't seem to spot bits of actual geometry that are different between ...
"Article is bs crytek has the original screenshots and they aren't at all"
Oh? Please link.
I just think junk like "take any thing coming from neogaf with a grain of salt" is sad because it's not like the images are sourced from GAF. Anybody can look at the actual original shot and the image on Xbox.com see that it has been shopped. I can see with my own eyes... GAF doesn't enter into it.
I don't think anyone said the game doesn't look good, but the most egregious edit on the image was the removal of visible clipping, and I've seen clipping issues in a few of the vids/screens for Ryse as well.

Attention to detail: -1
Hard to believe? It's pretty obvious that the clipping on the strap and the armor was photoshopped away. And it really doesn't have much to do with whether Crytek can produce "great graphics," it's just a minor modeling error that should be easy to fix.
I don't really have a problem with "bullshots" that adjust contrast or saturation or whatever, but the clone tool should *never* enter the equation.
On a side note, the mod...
Yup. I expect to pick up a Vita and/or VitaTV within the next 12 months for that purpose. And I've been saving all the free PS+ Vita games they've offered, so I've already got a back catalog ready to load.
Has there been any word on when the new Vita models will be released in the US?
That's what a console ban is... it bricks the online functionality for the whole console.
@Nuke: Ahahaha... this is amusing.
So, if we just take your post at face value, you're:
a) admitting that KZ:SF and I:SS are the best looking things out there
b) admitting that the PS4 beats out a triple SLI setup
c) admitting that the PS4 is more powerful than the Xbone (throw in "allegedly" if you'd like, but math is math, and PS4 specs > Xbone specs)
That aside, you've basically taken Hatsune's post as a...
I'd love to see these types of posts in, say, a Mustang enthusiast forum.
"If high performance is so important, go buy a McLaren."
PC gaming: been there, done that. I'd rather not deal with the hassle. And no, you don't need $3000, but what kind of GPU are you talking about? How much did it cost? When did you buy it, and how long did you go between upgrades?
Basically, everything FamilyGuy said.
Seriously... can we please find another "analyst?" Pachter is the only one I know with name recognition.
"Even if this is 1% of the total users... these are the 1% who are currently doing it, have fan bases and are sure to make full use of the feature."
But the PS3 already has HDCP restrictions. So if they're "currently doing it," then they already have an HDCP stripper, no?
Unless they're capturing via component cables, I suppose, which won't be available on the PS4 (which I did find disappointing... the analog outputs on my PS3s...
It's called "ENFORCED system parity." Thanks MS. We'll see if MS still has the pull to keep up this charade once console sales figures start coming in.
Hey Hryb, show us a pic of the serial number.
Seriously... can't say it enough... PR trainwreck.
He claims this one is out of those boxes from a while back. Yeah, I believe that. What would possibly be the point of taking a pic of the "first off the line," only to save it for a week after posting a pick of the ship-packed pallets? Also a bit odd that apparently the first load that went out wasn't Day One editions?
This company is lying to you. Again. Transparent attempt to push hype in ...
At least forty thieves, I'd wager.
