I don't think so either, but I don't think anyone's suggesting that you should get a PS4 cam *just* for PlayRoom. It's just a tech demo, but it looks neat nonetheless, and I think I would get more than five minutes out of it, especially with my kids.
And the cam is $60. ;-)

I'd say BF3, Vanquish, Deus Ex, XCOM, Infamous 2, Uncharted 3, Demon's Souls, Saint's Row 3, Sleeping Dogs, Far Cry 2, Bioshock 2, and SSFIV (and those are just *some* of the full retail games included with PS+) are much better features than cross game chat and "social options."

Um... you can Remote Play anywhere via the internet. Though in that case I'd guess the experience is far from "lagless."
It will be interesting to see the "Remote Play via internet" tests.
And if you're using a Vita (instead of VitaTV), you could have that "lagless" experience anywhere in the wireless range of your PS4, without a TV.
