"Kinect doesn't work? What do you mean it doesn't work? I have heard nothing but praise for Kinect 2."
"Kinect is like a zero-button mouse with a lot of latency on it." -John Carmack
"The only thing that will save Sony in the long haul..."
Ahahahaha... The PS4 won't be the brand that needs saving, bub.
What the devs specifically say is that you can yell at zombies to get their attention, not that they will necessarily respond to general loud noises in the vicinity.
Brilliant logic.
"They don't have any launch games that highlight their 'innovative,' 'revolutionary,' 'integral,' flagship $100+ bundled accessory because people would complain!"

This is exactly what I'm talking about.
The article you linked to has a link to a live interview with DR3 executive producer Josh Bridge. Nowhere in the interview clip does Bridge mention this "zombies hear you through Kinect" function. And even though the article at your link, as well as the not...
"So if your little brother comes in and makes noise, zombies will come after you."
Wait wait wait... I thought DR3 was supposed to be doing this? I recall it being said that this was something that "could" be done in DR3, and then somewhere along the line the fanboys morphed it into something DR3 "will" do. But Hryb's statement implies that it's a feature for a game still in development, which would imply that it's NOT DR3.
...
I didn't know Hulu was in the business of distributing cameras that were designed to analyze your heart rate and facial expression.
C'mon DragonKnight... let them have their false equivalencies. Without them, they have nothing.
"I would love to read anything that shows the Kinect is 'grabbing data from people'."
Well, you could start by reading the current XBL/Kinect EULA.
So does MS's own former privacy policy adviser.

(obviously just another insecure Sony fanboy)
My ISP might know what I look at or transfer over the internet... they do not have the means to tell what I am discussing with someone live and in person in my own living room.
I also doubt that the Xbone/XBL plays nice with proxy servers, VPNs, encryption, or any other method of masking internet communications.
False equivalency: look it up.
"Don't use Kinect... just pay for it."
Right?
Cool... so I'm assuming you can give me the AMD part number so I can grab one of the PS4 APUs for my own project.
Funny thing is how many of the Xbone customizations are there just to try to compensate for (sorry... "balance") its lesser GPU and "off the shelf" DDR3.
Right... because the PS4 doesn't have dedicated encode/decode hardware or any other dedicated hardware or customizations. It's all "off the shelf," right? I could slap one together with a brief visit to NewEgg, right?
"pic" "PS4 isn't even on!"
Yet the blue LED strip is illuminated in both pics, and the player is using a controller that's plugged into the PS4.
Keep reeeeeeaching.
@tim: I know, right? "Only" on Android and iOS.
Wut?
No game content? You mean besides all of the actual Vita, PSP, PS1, and soon-to-be PS4 and Gaikai content?
No media/movie content? You mean besides all the media apps on the Vita or any apps or content on your PS4?
Wut?
So, the 300,000 servers (virtual or physical? hasn't been stated) are for dedicated MP servers, "cloud enhancing" non-MP games, storing and serving XBL Xbone content, other media content, and now also for (supposedly) streaming the Xbox back catalog, yet some people pretend that the 300k are all dedicated to just one of those functions, depending on the topic of discussion.
"wall running which has been done in BRINK"
Bring on Brink 2 for the next-gens! Anyone know what Splash Damage is working on? (Brink was fun as hell... needed more maps though)
"Fans of Quake, Unreal..."
It would be nice to get this level of verticality and sci-fi feel back in a good FPS without the "modern military" backdrop.
I certainly won't be one to say Titanfall doesn't look interes...
"ps eye for ps4 which does the same"
