I believe he means "old builds" of the games, not the consoles.

"A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad."
Duke Nukem Forever Bad?
I was gonna do the same, but I figure that when I fill the 500GB in 6mos-1yr, faster/larger drives will be that much cheaper.
The harder task will be keeping myself from upgrading my 500 & 250GB PS3s.
Damn you PS+!
I know it's a pain to do the data transfer upgrade, but w/e... it's just one evening of downtime. Or start before bed and swap before work.

I think Gaikai is the only way this report is "true." I've been hoping that they would announce some kind of license transfer where if you own a digital copy of a PS3 game you will have access to it on Gaikai.
But as far as actually downloading PS3 games to play locally on the PS4... I doubt it.
"There's a video of a PS4 having freezing issues during gameplay."
Someone wants to report on a freeze, fine, whatever.
"Overheating was a potential reason for the freezing."
Not really, considering that *the console keeps running and re-loads the game with no problem.*
"Not even sure why I bother commenting. The majority of the Sony fanboys are hypocrites ready to twist an argument, spec, rumour...
Wasn't a glitch. Everyone got five for E3.
Meh... you could do it janky-style with a cable running out of the PS4 to the drive. I recall there being some little kit to do it with the PS3.
Now take apart the rest of the case!
All the PS3 models manage just fine.
"That doesn't make the articles any less credible according to people like yourself."
What makes this article "less credible" is the fact that there is no evidence of overheating.
Don't need to "pray" it isn't a hardware issue... the console kept functioning and re-loaded the game with no problem.
Well, that would depend on whether it was an actual overheat, which this wasn't, or just a game crash.
"Sorry if the wording isn't quite accurate"
That's an odd euphemism for "totally wrong and misleading." There is no indication that the console overheated.
"We've been hearing stories of PS4 having problems for a while now"
Really? Care to link?

@Bzone: It was an entirely different division from PlayStation, but in a word, yes.
If we want to play tit-for-tat, I'd like to ask: Has Sony ever been the target of federal anti-trust prosecution?
Because tracking network activity with cookies and the like is the same thing as having a biometric camera/mic array pointed at your living space, right?
False equivalency... look it up.
Also, the current XBL EULA includes the following. Keep in mind that the term "Services" will cover a much broader spectrum with the One. This is a lot more broad than tracking web activity.

"I suggest you look up the symptoms for overheating. The console doesn't always just stop working. Things start slowing down/glitching."
And yet the UI ran smoothly and the game was quickly reloaded. Overheating affects all processes, not just the game.
