hey guys, i've got a question... i've been debating whether or not to get a psp, so i was wondering if this came out on the psn, would i be able to play it on a psp?? that would definitely be enough to make me get one.
they are in the same general genre, but not at all the same game... the entire point of god of war is to make a game that says, "hey newcomers! look, with three taps of a button, you can rip someone in half! look at the blood and how good you are at this game!"
Gears has only sold over 4 million, closing in on five, and got an average rating of 94... while resistance has now sold over a 3/4 of a million copies, and got an average of 86... why even bothering releasing gears 2??
as you'll learn in your 7th grade economics class at some point, other countries have different currencies... $100 australian is not as expenseive as you are hoping.
"YES! MICROSOFT DID SOMETHING WE CAN MAKE FUN OF! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO JAPAN!!!"
for all of you who didn't read the article, it's one defensive move, and 1/1000th of the optional story that is extra... like someone else said, if this was a sony product, it would say "extra stuff with preorder! yes, we're so lucky! thank you japanese overlords! sony 08 lineup has a lot of potential"
it's looking more and more like that is going to happen... i've never anticipated the GDC more than this year...
much like the japanese only buy their own products, i would assume france would prefer anything non-american...
at least we can now trust that our egm reviews are void of biases to companies..
you'll still be playing mgs4 when i've played through 20 something games of equal or greater length? that statement alone is pretty damming to the ps3...
your post is a perfect example of the difference between the two consoles... i can name 20+ good looking games that are coming out this year, and even missed a few... you come back and laugh like they are nothing, becuase you have such huge sure fire hits like africa? killzone 2 (apparently you missed killzone 1...)? what's next, lai...
it's hard being a 360 owner in '08... a quick glance at a tentative release schedule shows these are the only games i'll be very interested in buying:
Ninja Gaiden 2 (Exclusive, the reason i bought a 360)
Devil May Cry 4
Lost Odyssey (Exclusive)
Army of Two
R6V:2
Gears of War 2 (Most likely Exclusive)
Mercs 2: world in flames
Star Wars: Force Unleashed
Grand Theft Auto IV
Splinter Cell Conviction (Exclusive)
...
i believe it was short sighted to not include a built in harddrive, and be able to expand the size with add-ons, but i guess they wanted to keep an untra low end version to try to make it compete with the wii price wise... but that hasn't exactly worked out.
they are the future, that's why he says they are the future, not the past.
netflix just announced they are releasing a set-top box to download movies, and there are rumors that blockbuster is putting an end to their B&M stores.
this site is getting a little too biased... i don't know if it's based in japan or what, but anything anti-360 is just thrown on here, even if it doesn't make any sense.
bill gates has always touted downloads being the next big format after dvds... notice the great emphasis on xbox live downloads, and the refusal to incorporate either blu-ray or hd dvd into the 360... microsoft had even said they would make a blu-ray add on "if there became a strong enough demand for it&qu...
you, sir, are both a stand-up worthy comedian as well as a mensa-worthy genius. (i think everyone who saw this story was waiting for the first of these comments...)
i hate to break it to you though, but sony is already working on the ps4 right now too... and for anyone else who remembers the early ps2 commercials, they've already been planning the playstation 9.
why do stories about microsoft working on the next xbox keep popping up like it's "news"? of course they are working on the next one, they most likely started not long after the 360 was released... that's how the console development cycle seems to work. they started preliminary work on the 360 when the original xbox was released. systems are not a game, it takes 4 or 5 years to develop a system, so because software can be tested on it doesn't mean that it's coming out next week. ...
i was definitely looking forward to this game... if it somehow made the transition to fps, then i probably won't even buy it, i have too many of them already... hopefully it was just easier for thx to understand a "fps" for their press release, as opposed to third person action/adventure game...
a few thoughts on all these comments on a 360 storry that has 98% of it's comments coming from ps3 ultra-fanboys...
1) bill gates gave a big speech a couple years ago about how the next great electronics battle is a battle for the all in one living room entertainment environment, where all components will speak to each other, and eventually be all in one machines... so if this RUMOR is true, that is what this is: gaming+movie watching+tivo+mass storage for entertainment+i'm sur...
"I've always been a Nintendo and PS guy since the beginning, and when Microsoft decided to butt their way into the console fight to me was a real slap in the face to Nintendo and Sony."
This has to be one of the dumbest comments i've heard on this site...
since the beginning, huh? the beginning of what, 1994? i remember when playstation was the new guy, "butting" their way into the console market. didn't you read the part that said: "The PlayS...
i don't have a ps3, so i can't do the remote play, but i would be interested in ripping it to a psp... i still have the original copy of the game, so getting a back up of it would actually be great.
