he's bringing up gears to make a point. he's saying that although the graphics are pretty nice, they don't blow you away like the first time you see gears of war in action. not to say that dmc's graphics are very good, but they're just not the best. this is probably due to gears being designed for one specific console throughout it's lifespan, while dmc is being developed multiplatform.

high definition video is going to skip both of these mediums as far as the mainstream is concerned. the future is downloading all your hd movies, neither of these will "win" the war here.

5000, 10,000, or even 100,000 signatures aren't going to matter. honestly, i don't think capcom would respond if there was 1,000,000 signatures, because those people are still going to buy the games if they care enough to look up petitions and sign them regarding keeping the game "all theirs".

one very distinct difference that i noticed about these games is the difference in how they handled the higher difficulty levels. in ninja gaiden, the enemeies seemed to fight better, more intelligently. in black, there were even different enemies on each difficulty level. it provided for extra playthroughs that were just as enjoyable as the first...

the difference is that the 360 was the only next gen console out at that point, it didn't have to have a great games lineup, becuase they beat the competition to the market. now that the 360 has been out for a year, and some great games are out now, the more expensive ps3 needs to give buyers an incentive to purchase one.

sony can't expect to keep up if they don't start moving some consoles and getting some games out there. they need to hurry up and get some top games out there so they can move some consoles, and not lose anymore exclusives... otherwise, blu-ray players will eventually drop in price, and the ps3 will just be thought of as an expensive blu-ray player.
