the coc-kiness of this guy... fallout fans are in an uproar over what they're doing to fallout 3... then blizzard comes along with diablo 3, which looks like it was made 100% for the fans of the others, keeping the look and feel of the game classic just like the rest, and this guy tries to talk down about them for not taking the easy fps way out. what's next, someone from the metroid prime staff chirping in? fps are fine, but there is a huge fanbase out there that is just dying for some iso...
a couple of idiots who have seen .05% of the gameword are trying to cause a good year or two delay, even though it looks like diablo always has. is the problem that it is sunny outside at one point? is that really that big of a deal?
i think diablo's story is better, and making a game a pc exclusive doesn't in any way make it worse. maybe it will hurt overall sales, but it doesn't make the game worse in any way. and blizzard knows how to do it right, they make it so many pcs can run their games, unlike the other ignorant companies that basically require you to have a 2 or 3 thousand dollar computer, which most people don't have.

what he doesn't know about is how to write a good article, especially with the angle he was going for. you shouldn't spend the first few paragraphs saying, "umm... i thought this was a joke... now i'm not sure..." and then at one point going, "ok... well it's a sarcastic joke type thing... but it's just not very inventive or entertaining..."

yeah, ninja gaiden for regular xbox completely crushed both god of war and dmc in the fighting mechanics area, ng just can't be touched there.
and to those saying, "comparing it to a last gen game"... how much do you think the core fighting mechanics will change for god of war 3? not much, or the fans would be in an uproar.

i actually played the hell out of diablo for the ps1... and that was after i'd played it pretty extensively on the pc... the first one especially translated well to a console environment, and i would hope that diablo 3 could do the same.
it's really happening... it's really, really happening... for anyone suspicious of this, i've been going to diabloii.net for probably 7, 8 years... they know their stuff, and if there is one un-official site to trust for this kind of information, it's them... all glory and praise be to Diablo, Lord of Terror.

can you find another fighting game that was universally given 10's for review scores? or that single handedly sells used dreamcasts to this day? watch the sales of the first soul calibur on xbox live, then you'll know if it was even good to begin with.
this game went from a pre-order of a collectors edition to 0 interest once the star wars characters were announced... and i'm not sure why.
obviously it would have been better to have, say, kratos or dante for ps3 and ryu hyabusa or master chief with a plasma sword for xbox... or hell, even spawn for xbox and that guy from tekken again for ps3... i don't have a problem with star wars or anything, but i guess it's just the forced cross marketing attempt that has completely killed my int...
i think ffxiii will be THE game there, if they really show anything... it just seems like a lot of the big time upcoming games have been left off.

probably every set of them... i'll be playing this game enough that i'll need some variety in there.
is it a ripoff?? i don't know... depends how much it took on the programmers part to create them, something we'll probably never know. but if you think it's a ripoff, don't buy it, simple as that.
