i'll probably buy every one of these the second they are available. i won't even deny. i spent 200 hours between ninja gaiden and ninja gaiden black, these games are such masterpieces that i would buy new colored contact lenses for the game if they offered it.
you may be right, but i still think it'll end up in the 4 million range if it turns out to be as good as everyone thinks. when i get a ps3 for ff xiii, i'm sure i'll pick this up at some point.
just because 360 owners tend to be adults doesn't mean that we buy games even if they're bad... it just means we can afford to buy any games we want, instead of buying only a few a year. i've purchased 18 360 games so far, and the only game i didn't think was a pretty good game was perfect dark zero.
so you think that this will be the highest selling metal gear ever (currently metal gear solid on ps1 is JUST under 6 million) on the playstation system that has by far the lowest userbase at the time of any metal gear release?? really?
wow, between don and ace ventura we have the two extremes of the fan boy population on n4g.
yeah, mgs4 will most likely sell more, but it's not a HUGE seller by any means. the last couple of mgs games sold in the 3-4 million range, on a system with a 100,000,000 install base. ninja gaiden will sell over a million, maybe even close to 2 million, due to it being more friendly to mainstream gamers than its predecessors, and metal gear will probably sell around 3 million.
now, if you want to compare apples to apples, you'll need to compare metal gear to halo 3 or super ...
well, on the bright side i won't be completely useless at work on friday due to lack of sleep.
for the industry it's somewhat big news, as it shows that they are making progress at making sure games aimed at adults are only getting to adults.
for gamers, now, this isn't really much of news.
so by 1 am on may 9th, are they referring to about 12 hours from now, or abou 36 hours from now?
it's a smack in the face if it comes out 5-6 years after the original? that actually sounds perfect to me.
did anyone think it would be out before 2009? and i would say it's a safe bet we'll be talking late 2009 for a U.S. release, knowing square.
Devil may cry? Grand theft auto? assassins creed? virtua fighter?
haha, what a mistake...
since the debut of the 360, microsoft said they would produce a blu-ray drive if/when the market called for it. and now that day has come, and they will be making one. microsoft was never married to the hd-dvd format, or they would have made it an internal drive instead of waiting for things to pan out and then producing a blu-ray drive add-on. so far there has not been a need for blu-ray for gaming, especially since the xbox can easily upgrade to dvd20s if the need is there for double the...
this makes a lot of sense... capcom is known for only making single platform exclusives... so they would probably choose the console with the fewest sales to launch the revival of a mega franchise. good work france.
isn't prototype looking at a late 2008 release?? these games could be released 6 months apart, how are they competition to each other?
didn't this game come out in november? why are people still posting reviews for it? if you haven't made up your mind on whether or not to get the game by now, you probably never will.
these "Are you dumb enough to believe this?" features are dumb as hell.
the original fable sold 3 million copies? i had no idea... i was one of those 3 million, but i had for some reason thought the game was a bit of a flop, but that's a HUGE number on the original xbox... that's like a 9 million selling ps2 game...
it's not "ARMOR" it's just costumes, it doesn't make you stronger... so it has nothing to do with "sucking" at the game.
