This "recent" confirmation was actually just a reiteration of an OLD rumor from a while back. Came from Wii U Daily. Always check the source articles and the dates people.
As usual, the journalists like to spin what devs say in favor for a Nintendo-bashing title in order to get more hits lol. It's sad, really.
Mario doesn't need to go, the 2D side-scrollers just need to freakin innovate.
The 3D Mario's on the other hand have been top-notch.
Revive? When did it die?
Good point. I agree, 5 is too small of a scale.
RemoteJoyLite. Good times, good times. Me and my buddy used to always hook our PSP's up to our computers during our BCIS class and play Monster Hunter as everyone watched us.
The problem with Smart-Glass is of course - tablets have no buttons.
They're following Nintendo but they're not doing it the right way. I don't think they get it. What's the point of a separate screen if I can't control my game with that 2nd screen?
That's not always the case. Starfox and F-Zero completely skipped the Wii, and Punch Out!! and Metroid skipped the N64.
Although, none of their notable franchises have a skip TWO console in-a-row, so yeah, I say that a Starfox and F-Zero are guaranteed for Wii U.
That'd be awesome.Hope it's true.
Controllers are over-priced. Don't use existing controllers as a measure for how much the Wii U Pad will cost. Sony spends $6-$10 making a Dual Shock 3 controller, yet they sell it it for $50. Maximum profit.
The camera in the controller could cost as little as $3.
Touch screens are VERY inexpensive nowadays, it'd probably cost them $6 especially considering it's restiveness and not capacities.
NFC in phones costs $1 to implement,...
"You do realize that to manufacture parts that are less powerful than a PS3/360 (in other words, bringing back old and outdated parts) will cost even more than getting newer, more powerful parts."
Exactly. Parts that old don't even exist anymore except for the production of PS3 and 360's of course. Nintendo would literally have to REVIVE those parts and order for them to be re-made if they wanted to make the Wii U that weak.
"- Wii U has an enormous amount of memory"
"- Almost no limitations in terms of memory"
Sounds like Eurogamer was lying again. "Enormous" doesn't sound like 1 gigabyte.
"- can display full HD on the main screen while streaming a different image at 800X480 on the GamePad."
"- this is while keeping a 60 i/s framerate."
"- not a traditional next-gen system in terms of a graphical le...
I remember a while back before E3 there was a report from LinkedIn I think that had a Ubi hiring for a "AAA MMO game for Wii U." This is most likely that.
Yeah Jack said that but at the same time I remember Sony saying they wanted to beat Microsoft to the market first this time around.
If what GameStop says is true, it's hard to say which company will be releasing next year and which one wouldn't.
PC / Mac / Wii U?
Sounds like an MMO, which would make sense considering all the clutter on an MMO can be put on the pad's screen.
MK for life. SF is awesome too though, of course.
People really need to get their stories straight. How could Nintendo Power mess up this badly?
Really, the typical gamer isn't going to care for statements like this. They have their minds made up - if the specs aren't the latest or greatest they're not going to buy it.
Essentially, they already have their minds made up. They can't see the value or appeal in a different control method, they just want eye-bleeding technology.
I think Pachter's just a taaaaad bit salty that Nintendo continually proves him wrong on a yearly basis.
??? Cause it's a port that was made for console that don't even do 720p as a standard ???
And why would a 3rd party dev take the extra TIME and MONEY to graphical improve a game so much for a year-old port.
I mean if a company DOES do it that's great, but why would we expect them to? These are ports of last-gen games.
