In a world of 3-hour FPS campaigns, yes.
Wtf? Nintendo should make it a requirement for games to support this feature. This is what the Wii U is mainly about, they shouldn't give devs the OPTION to not include this.
In before "Wii U is not next-gen" comments.
Well we know it has 2 GIGS of RAM (confirmed by Iwata) and the GPU is a e6760.
In the last Iwata asks it was revealed in a picture that the GPU was embedded. Iwata confirmed that the Wii U GPU was a GPGPU during the Japanese Sept. 13th conference. Nintendo's site has also had "AMD Radeon HD GPU." on there for the longest.
The e6760 is AMD's first embedded GPGPU (2011)
Put 2-and-2 together and that pretty much confirms it al...
I just want to see the operating system (main menu, friend's list, system settings, etc) and the Nintendo Network inaction.
No I'm not talking about this specific article, I'm talking about everyone in-general.
Sony employed Foxconn as well. Why doesn't nobody mention this?
"Surprisingly powerful compared to PS3/360"
Isn't that how it should be though?
It's funny how people were expecting the Wii U to [somehow] be on par with 2005 tech, but now that they're convinced that it's stronger, they're changing their tune and saying that being more powerful (and not just marginally so) is NOT enough lol.
You people make me laugh xD.
So that "AAA" Square is making isn't Tomb Raider.....hmm........
Might just be for the demo units.
Wasn't it confirmed though that it can use blu-tooth headsets? If this is the case then it can't be any worse than PSN.
Just a heads-up, this isn't about the actual NUMBER specs (GFLOPS, RAM, GHz, etc.), it's about the hardware specifications, as in, fan size, heat sink, chip architectural, etc.
Don't understand the disagrees, I wasn't dissing the Vita people, I was pointing out Mika's hypocrisy. I plan on buying a Vita next year, when the price drop hits.
Bashes the Wii U for having a lot of ports (what new console DOESN'T get ports?), but picked up a PS Vita.
@omarzy
Exactly. Thank you.
Please don't tell me you own a Vita?
Looking at raw numbers for CPU, yes it would APPEAR that they are on-par but hertz-for-hertz, the Broadway does more work than the Xbox's CPU. It's a superior architecture.
The Wii has 2 sets of RAM. A 88MB pool and a 64MB GDDR3 pool. Not to mention it's RAM is faster.
The Xbox has an overall performance of 116 million polygons per second. The Wii has 500 million polygons per second.
Name me any game on the Xbox that looks better ...
It's a 2012 console vs. 2005-2006 consoles.
It's common sense that it's stronger.
The Wii may have been underpowered but even the Wii was still stronger than the original Xbox.
Don't know why people don't know this.
I honestly don't care either way, because a bad looking game will still look bad in 1080p. I've never cared for this situation anyway.
BUT, I would like a picture of that e-mail. They said Activision e-mailed them but they didn't show a snippet of said e-mail.
But again, I could care less either way. It's COD lol.
Epic.
Usually when something is true, Nintendo comments, "We do not comment on rumor and speculation."
Giant Enemy Crab.
Anything else is unacceptable.
