Don't know why this sentiment exists. The consoles this gen have sold 229.7 million units this gen, yet console gaming is somehow dying or is losing it's touch due to phones, PHONES of all things.
Angry Birds is a nice little distraction but it can never kill off Mario, Metal Gear, Halo, etc.

Well there's a difference between unveiling and releasing. Even if they do show the 720 around the Wii U's launch, people are still gonna buy a Wii U since there will be a 1-year gap in-between the two.

Not really. The only reason the Wii didn't get most multiplats is because it didn't have a modern feature set.
All of the new and next-gen engines have been confirmed to be run-able on the Wii U, including UE4 and the Luminous engine.
Yea, I'm fully expecting the PS4 and 720 to be more powerful, but it's definitely not going to be the Wii situation all over again.

All a console needs is games. The Wii was crap feature-wise, but I'm still playing it due to the good games that are still coming out (Xenoblade and The Last Story)
Sounds plausible. If this is true then that rumor a long time ago stating Valve and EA were trying to get the Nintendo Network to be a part of Steam and Origin is true.
Maybe if they'd spend more than 2 months of dev time per game they'd be able to do get all the features in lol.
Well me personally, late at night, I dont like sitting on a chair. I'll be tired but not necessarily sleepy, so taking the game to bed would be a very useful thing for me.
