always causes me a migraine of epic praportions. All I can seem to settle on is basic things like Wind Waker takes place in a flooded hyrule, after a different Zelda game at some point. Beyond that it makes my brain hurt

why do people keep on asking for Madworld on PS3 or 360 when it was clearly made to specification for the Wii? there are good ps3 and 360 games made with those systems or both in mind! I don't understand gamers this generation... Every single game thats exclusive is either "teh crap!" or "port it! port it!" (think mgs4 or Mass Effect). This is why games are getting more and more homogenized all the time.
and it must be considering how many Wii owners there are versus 360 and ps3 owners put together. Also you msut consider those that own a wii AND something else... like myself. the 360 was lying down flat and some one lifted it straight up and put it down and COD WOW never worked again. Also it is a cicrlular scratch, a nasty one though... He had to buy the whole game again, poor kid. Thank god his mom still helps him with the money (wish mine did but i guess at 21 that would be weird)
I saw this comming a mile away (No More Heroes anyone?) but hopefully the game will have a long enough sales life that it will be worth it for Sega to make more legit games... lets hope
about what you mentioned regarding development costs, I think you are right in that regard. However No More Heroes may have a sequel, it is ahrdly a good example of a high caliber game selling well an the wii... in fact it is jsut the opposite. I dont think its a question whether these kind of games flop and result in a finacial blunder, but rather with a market as huge as the Wii's dedicated to buying Wii Play week after week, that game studios (like sega) are gonna say, screw it lets jsut...
its a little weird how many movie remakes their are sometimes, and the people I know who watch them... However my explination for Hollywood is that they have run out of creativity and have become so hemogenized and bloated that they are incapable of comming up new ideas except the few diamonds in the rough. I pray that videogames have not fallen into that same category, although I see edidence for it everyday I.E. complaisn of RE5 controls
I dont want remakes. Can we really improve FF7? The most I would want is something along the lines of SF HD Turbo, and I'd much rather sink my teeth into a new idea or simply replay the original. I really don't get the whole clamour for remakes... Are we really that afraid to try new things?
I just imagined a future where not only are 17 year olds arrested for playing M-rated games (without having even done anyhting yet) but adults are arrested for owning LBP or Animal Crossing. And then their are underground movements playing these "forbiden" games. Hillarious.
Jaffe does a great job creating a game series concept,but doesn't make what will eventualy be the amsterpeice of the series, I am specifically thinking of Twisted Metal Black... heres hoping that God of War 3 will pull off the same thing
about not having current gen systems on the list, way too early to make that call... for instance in hindsight I relize that he gamecube and dreamcast where better than they got credit for.
Although I find it odd that ps2 in number one but ps1 is last on your list by your ps2 logic the ps1 should be number 2. Also I liked the ps2 but I feel like everything that was good about the Ps2 were in large part do to the legacy of the ps1... just a thought
I wouldn't personally put ps1 last on that list, in fact I find it odd tat many people don' teven have ps1 on their lists (but have ps2) when you consider what the ps1 did for video games, far more that the ps2 imo. When I think of my the kind of games that I still enjoy today almsot all have their roots in the ps1
anyone who thinsk that resident evil 5 looks better than mgs4 in terms of textures, partical effects, lighting, hell even sheer depth of vision needs to get their eyes checked next time they are at the doctors for their acute fanboy disorder. its written and acted by Bill Murray and Dan Akroid and the other original Ghostbusters so I think it will be awesome. I also think that people should buy it jsut to encourage devs creating games with a little more imagination and more unique game mechanic then, everything else this gen.
