Not really Mercury Steam.Platinum games and Lucas Arts ;) I mean...CLOS is running at ~25fps on either platform without AA...thats just...bad.
Platinum games...GOOD!
Almost positively sure 360 version is sub hd.BTW,those japan games seem to always benefit ps3...good!
Yes since they are multiplat they cant optimize it as much as first party so they probably had no spus time left.Here...4ms over 5 spus means that every spu,in parallel takes 4 ms to finish.Since game is 30fps each spu has 33ms budget.That means that MLAA takes ~12% of spu time,while DLAA takes ~5%.add to that 12% of time,the time from motion blur,depth of field and bloom you will probably go up to 30% of spu time for everything all together.Add to that vertex processing and other,computing p...
Yea but its cheaper than 2xMSAA and especially 4xAA while still looking better.
DLAA looks seriously nice maaan! :D
Looks better on ps3 but oh my this is one ugly game :S
Amm...its actually pretty close.Code has been made in XNA(not real 360 dev kit) and its not slow.Here...these guys made it.They also said that with real kit performance can be improved further.

Great news!MSAA and SSAA are faaar to expensive for their "service".Here is a hope that MLAA finally finds its way on 360 since code for it is already done...that with FU2s DLAA and Cryteks Hybrid AA will be great news for everyone.
BTW,this title is wrong...its not the end of AA(anti aliasing),its the end(if it is) for MSAA and SSAA,not AA.MLAA is also AA ;)
Yea....and GTA IV and RDR are both enormously big open world games with 30+ hour main story,wonderin how they do it...DVD9 should not have problems with game like Vanquish...FF13 and games alike that use CG cutscenes need much more on the other hand.
Well...its not like freakin thinner lightsabre design is a big thing.
@magaglitcher
BTW,edge detection is not AA edge detection,its motion blur edge detection :) Both games have the same DLAA edge smoothing.
Dont want to burst your bubbles but i think that lightsaber is just a "design" choice but motion blur and shaders/textures are not.
Yes motion blur edge detection is certainly smoother on ps3,running at 16 samples while 360 implantation runs at 11 AFAIK.
They look almost identical but the color is a bit different...wondering how come they are so freakin clean??Is that MLAA?
EDIT.
I was wrong...they are using their own method of AA,looks great anyway!
Who the fuck would bought this crap?
360 footage of crysis 2...

Maybe the textures will be better on PS3 duo to blu ray and their streaming technique.
@ShinGino
No way Lens of truth does better comparison.They take captures of both versions and in un professional way say what everybody can see,while DF consist of people that know technical details and make much better and detailed comparison.
Agreed!Both look great although it seems like Crytek is slowly implanting more and more graphical features.Just compare this build to one from gamescom,this is closer to PC trailer than that older one.What needs to be fixed is texture pop ins and tearing,they need to implant also per object motion blur...360 version from Eurogamer had it,this does not.Probably older build...
