Yea...it will be hard to "get rid" of DX in PC market,but thats not only thing where you waste a lot of power.The problem is also in the fact that making PC game you have to optimize it for hundred+ combinations of hardware not just one as in consoles.

Yea...everyone is playing dumb.You can tell Activision chief business director that his is talking out of his ass when talking about two consoles,but you can't tell that to the man right here.60fps and not restricting linear world and amazing graphics.I'll take it...

BTW if anyone is wondering game is confirmed 720p on consoles and when(he said rarely) some huge stuff happens it will do automatic resolution lowering for a moment rather than dropping frames.

Looks very nice.Would say that it even eclipses what Bungie has done with Reach in terms of look.Its no wonder,there are some wonderful talents working at 343i.Ex lead artist for Killzone,than 3 Metroid Prime lead designers are the ones that joined 343 just before e3.

Thats actually how you choose to use FXAA.There is FXAA default and FXAA sharp.The sharp one won't blur the image because it won't work on sub pixel level,while default will blur it because it works on sub pixel level(vegetation,wires etc.).FXAA(sharp) is considarably better IMO,very similar to MLAA-good antialiasing of edges and no blurring of sub pixel stuff.But DF choose that one,dunno why...Here is the comparison,straight from the guy who made FXAA.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about so I should just leave you alone.But,just to simplify.In parallel it means your rendering setup will be divided across multiple SPUs doing the same thing,its better that way because there is less latency than going by dividing your rendering setup to each of SPU.

Example...

Parallel setup

SPU1
-----(5 ms of 33ms of rendering time)
SPU2
-----(5 ms of 33ms of...

Parallel doesn't mean what you think it means...Developers go parallel with SPUs because of lower latency and because their rendering setup is that way.What I mean is,5 spus=20 ms of SPU time,each SPU will have to dedicate 4 ms of its time to complete the job if going parallel,it doesn't mean that suddenly you will go from 20ms to 4 ms time just because you went parallel,you will still lose 20ms of SPU time,its just that you will lose 4ms on each of those 5 SPUs and not 20ms on one. ...

WTF is this stupid article?Not to announce just so they make a big splash at next years E3?New GTA is not your regular game where R* have to look for opportunity to show it to as many as people its possible.Even my grandma knows what GTA is and when GTA is announced every gamer will know it.Next GTA doesn't need E3 or some fancy convention.It needs to be announced ASAP!

IMO both look great,as other 2011 games look(KZ3,RAGE,BF3,F4,ACR etc.).I mean,we came to the point in generation where almost all new,blockbuster games look pretty damn amazing.It's been 5 years since this gen started(6 since they were announced),people should let small graphical deferences go and go play and enjoy the games because this flaimbait articles are just ruining the fun.

Just one question,is there a better looking open world game than what Ubi shown of ACR?Exclusive open world game that is.Really,Ubi is big.No no,Ubi is HUGE.There are six studios working on ACR,with probably more programmers than exclusive devs have actual employees,I'm pretty sure they know what they talk about.

Well to me ACR on PS3 looks as good as anything out there,for open world game that is.The problem with open world games is that you can't make assets like cars,furniture,character models etc. as good as linear games because that would require awful lot of artists time(because there is alot more stuff in open world games),you would have to make impressive lod to actually have good streaming of those assets in open world game,and that surely is not easy to do.
