Yeah that was kinda BS since the sale implied it was still going to be going on the 1st. I was planning to pick it up today, but the offer was gone. Still, from what I hear, it's worth the money either way.
Some questionable choices in there. Some good ones too though. But c'mon - Illbleed?
I still need to finish the main game. I didn't get too far into it yet.
Some good picks in there. Fatal Frame was high on my list too, Eternal Darkness was definitely innovative and Rule of Rose I was excited for, picked up, but then promptly didn't play more than an hour of. I need to go back to it at some point.
People jump through some serious mental hoops in order to make themselves feel better about potentially bad purchases rather than just suck it up and deal. Cognitive dissonance is a bitch.
Essentially. Still, I'm glad for my reading speed ;P
Nah, I was focusing on the game alone. And I understand what you're saying, but I know a LOT of people read slower than I do and *I* was missing stuff when I was paying attention. You can afford to set that pace when you have voice acting - written dialog? Not so much.
The lack of voice acting didn't really bother me (though it would be nice). What did was how fast the text moved. I'm a fast reader and there were times it moved too quickly for me. That was annoying.
I'd definitely pick it up if somebody got me a card, if only to support Double Fine.
Played the demo - really cute. Captures that childhood feeling very well. Wish the gameplay were a little deeper, but it's charming as hell.
Still haven't signed up for Plus. Still don't plan to anytime soon. I don't like the whole "bonus games disappear if you let your plan lapse" thing. Either give them to us or don't. Meh.
I think it's at least refreshing that they tried to break formula with the reboot, rather than treading the same ground over and again.
To poopsock is to devote all your time to playing a game or performing another activity - to such degree that it would necessitate pooping in a sock, rather than getting up to go to the bathroom, so as not to lose time.
"The more you know..." </rainbow>
Yeah 20 hours is a bit much for a rental, unless you have several days free to poopsock it.
It definitely looks like the games are getting darker along with the progression of the story. I may actually consider checking the new game out this time around. Haven't touched a Potter game since the first one on PS2.
I kind of get the feeling a lot of people feel similarly. I wonder how many are just going to go with bite-size zombie slaying over paying $60 for essentially more of the same.
I keep meaning to go to Kongregate but never have. I always hear good things though...
Been too conditioned to aim for the head - when I played De-Animator, I kept wondering why that wasn't dropping all of them. Stupid zombie lore...
$5 is too much for you? Wow... ;P
Mmmmmm... Akira Yamaoka. Sooo good.
